Since some MR users seem to find it difficult to find interesting new ebook uploads, because of the frequent uploads of a single MR user, I've created this poll to find out whether ebook uploads should be voluntarily limited.

Quality improvements (I hesitate to use the word Significant) over what can be found in other PD libraries should have no limit. |

I have no idea what this is about, and when I tried to find out, the link in the original post didn't work.

What is this? A sort of vendetta against a valued MR member who is willing to spend a lot of time on preparing books and sharing them with all of us?

The problem that 'some MR members' are alleged to have does not exist. The list of books uploaded over the last month covers approx. 10 pages. It only takes a couple of minutes to browse through these 10 pages and look for books uploaded by 'someone else', if that is what you want. Just a couple of minutes, once per month, that's all it takes. And that is the reason why someone who does so much for all of us should be partially banned? And even if the problem did exist, the solution would be to improve search options in the library. Restricting uploads can never be the solution. That would be the beginning of the end of our library. |

I am with Catlady on this. Why should there be any limit to the amount of anyone's generosity of submitting items to a library of any kind. Whether someone submits one book a week/month or submits more than 10 a day, there should be no limits placed. A thank you should be given in my opinion.

		 Moderator Notice
The ebook library is an area that will be revised and improved in our forthcoming changeover to new forum software. This thread is now closed, as this type of poll does not follow our goal of trying to keep MR a friendly, helpful forum. Thank you. |
