Woo hoo! This is not a scam! I sent in 2 PWs and just got $122 each in gift cards! Mailed the package on 9 Sep.

The 'buyer' seems to be AFS, amazon fulfillment services.

Does anyone know the best price the PW 3G without special offers was up for? It's currently at 103.00. Is that the most it's gone for in the Amazon trade in?

This the best price I have seen. I went ahead and submitted the trade, but I am waiting until I receive my new PW before I send it.

Best I saw was $122. I traded in for $120.25, offer may go down drastically after Amazon starts shipping PW2.

No 3G was quoted less than wifi, problably a mistake.
My PW was only wifi, no SO with trade-in $120.25

Maybe the 2 members who did get $122 can verify their PW model.

Thank you! I do believe the ones with wifi are the ones that got 122.00. For some reason the 3G one is going for less it seems. odd.

Unfortunately the Kindle doesn't appear to be an eligible item on the Amazon UK trade-in site.

I didn't know you could go to your Amazon Account and over on the right hand side you have a "Your Trade In Account" listed where you can track your package. Mine says Not Yet Received but under Track Your Package it was actually delivered today. And then there is also View Your Gift Card Balance on the right under Trade In Links.

"We'll automatically apply your balance towards your next eligible purchase."

When I checked on the trade-in value of the Touch, the WiFi model was more than the 3G model too. I wonder if this is because fewer people buy the used 3G models and thus they are not re-sold as quickly. Many people have cellular phones with data, so a 3G Kindle isn't as important as it was several years ago. I'm thinking that if the buyer has to hold certain models longer in the warehouse before they re-sell, then they would not be inclined to pay as much as for items they can re-sell more quickly. That's just a guess....

I didn't know either, this was my first time and I am very impressed, shipped 9/23 to ky, they shipped it to OH, received 9-25 6pm and I got my gift card 9-26 2pm.

usually we give PCs and gadgets to younger family members, but the last 2 years they refuse claiming they do everything on their phones. this is why we have too many prior versions of tablets & readers.
