I have been a member for a couple of months now and as far as I can tell, the sales are for everyone. For me, their biggest benefit is the fact that their books are DRM free. You can also choose between two formats: MP3 and M4B. Or you can download both formats, if you like.

I was a member for awhile. Never saw any kind of member only sales or anything, just the ones that they offer everyone. I ended up canceling due to lack of selection at the time.

I forgot to mention that they do credit sales from time to time (at a reduced price).

I am quite happy with their selection right now, I even found a couple of books that Audible won't sell to me (to be fair, the opposite is also true).

Not much, I'm afraid. I haven't bought any but I think the price was about 11 US dollars. And there was a limit of six credits per person if I remember well.

I like the no DRM of Downpour, but the mix of books seems a bit weak. Of the authors I checked, none of the Sharon Lee books, and a mix of David Weber books that included some abridged (NOT interested, now or ever), and some readers I'd never heard of, along with others that I was quite happy about.

I received an e-mail that there is a 24h credit sale for members right now - the credits are 11,25 $ instead of 12,99 $, limited to 6 credits per customer. Credit sale expires 9/26/13. I only saw this e-mail this afternoon when I checked my mails.
