Hmm, I have no clue about how to use those "codes" on calbre, but I'll just copy and save that one. Even though I have no clue what that means. . So it goes by date. What date, the date the file was uploaded to calibre? The date column then. I usually just upload in batches though as I need as I update my goodreads data at the same time.

I think I'll just type my list in. I think that is easier for me to figure out. But thanks for that code thingy. Or search code thingy, whatever that is called. I'll try it just to see what happens.

As for keeping up with what I have purchased and what I download free.... well that will never happen. I load to Calibre maybe once a month. I will see if I can remember to write down each day what I purchase and what I download free. That might work for a few days

For everyone in the dark . . . .

Click on Virtual Library
Select Create Create Virtual Library
In the popup name your VL in the Virtual Library Name field
Enter Search Expression as shown in the attached image.

To filter out freebies, it will depend on how you flag them. I personally have a cost field so I filter out everything <$0.05. If you have another field let us know what it is and I'll see if we can't figure out what expression you should use.

Thanks apesmom, I have been using Calibre since 0.4.0 it took me until 0.7.0 to figure out how to add additional fields for read and one for tbr. I currently have over 4000 books not added to calibre that need adding. I doubt I will get to them anytime soon since I am trying to organize the 7000 I already have added.

If your freebies are tagged that will be easier actually.
