Tender, humorous, captivating...A delightful, heartwarming story of love...
Throw together a stolen diamond sought by the Crown, a handsome earl dispatched on a secret mission, a beautiful American pressured to marry, and a French spy bent on revenge, into the middle of Regency England, and the resulting chaos is found in this Regency Historical Romance.

Can a splintered Amish family reconcile?

More than anything else, thirty-something Holly Fisher longs for family. Growing up in Seattle without a dad or grandparents, she wonders what it would be like to have a heritage, a place of belonging. Holly is furious when her mother, Esther, reveals a long-kept secret: Holly’s grandmother and uncles are still alive and begging Esther to return. And Holly is shocked when she learns that the family she’s never known lives on a Lancaster, Pennsylvania, farm—as part of an Amish community her mother once abandoned.
Guilt-ridden Esther, terrified to see her mother and siblings, begs Holly to accompany her on a visit to Esther’s mother before she dies. But can their journey to a conflicting world heal their emotional wounds and finally bring them home?
Set in the heart of contemporary Lancaster County, Leaving Lancaster explores the power of forgiveness, family reconciliation, and love where least expected.

On Barbados, she discovers her father has added a new partner to his venture. Lord Christian Andrews might charm her father, but Felicity sees the scoundrel behind his handsome exterior. She won't allow him to send her away, despite the fact a notorious pirate has targeted her father's ships and murdered his other business partner. What she discovers is a man capable of unleashing her denied lust, though their shared passion might destroy them both.

Nope. I used it a lot last week. My wishlist is pretty much cleared out of stuff. There are still plenty of books on it but most are backlist titles which have not been released. I do have some that are available to buy. Of those a few I can wait until we get a bigger than 50% coupon and the rest are not a priority. Or so I keep telling myself along with "Self, have over 500 new/want to reread books already." Sadly myself doesn't seem to want to listen

Totally agree, it's always better to test to POSITIVELY rule out something then for some damn doctor to THINK you don't have something because you're whatever....! Insist or get a doctor who has YOUR best interests in mind.

Agreed. I have autoimmune thyroiditis (often referred to as Hashimoto's). I sort of knew something was screwy when I was eating lettuce with vinegar at meals and still gaining weight

Autoimmune disorders are incredibly common and often genetic - once I started doing family research on these types of disorders, I realized they are on both sides of my family - on my father's side, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, on my mother's autoimmune thyroiditis and rheumatoid arthritis. Once you have one autoimmune disorder, you're statistically far more likely to develop another.

If your doctor did an ANA (anti-nuclear antibodies) test, that would be a good starting point.

Just my 2 cents.

Lose Yourself in the History, Opulence, and Elegance of the Thousand Islands

Cousins Amanda, Sophie, and Fanny Broadmoor are as close as sisters, but when their grandfather dies, the terms of his will just might destroy their bond. Seventeen-year-old Fanny has never put much stock in the conventions of society. In fact, she has given her heart to Michael, the family boat-keeper. But when she receives a surprising inheritance, she discovers just how oppressive society can be... and that she may be trusting the wrong people.

Dare she follow her heart and risk going against her family? What if she loses everything she's ever known? It all comes down to one choice: What does Fanny Broadmoor want her legacy to be?

You have to understand I go to a Medical Clinic that has Nurse Practitioners. I seldom get to see a real doctor who they work under. I have tried to find a real doctor to go to for several years but none are accepting new patients right now. Now the last nurse practitioner I saw was so nice and caring. I would like to see her all the time.

Just yesterday I got a call from them telling them my culture is back and to just finish taking the Macrobid. I was like you do realize I was in on September the 4th right? This is September 18th. I finished my 10 day supply awhile ago. The nurse looked at the date and was like oh that's right. I told her about the kidney stone I passed and she didn't seem to care about it.

Sometimes living in a small town sucks.

I also have autoimmune/Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and before I was diagnosed I had to INSIST on being tested. And it needs to be the test for the antibodies. My thyroid hormone function tests that my general doctor would have done always came back fine, but my thyroid was blowing itself out meeting those normal levels and I developed a goiter in my early 20s.

You have to insist sometimes with doctors. I'm not saying have a lot of unnecessary tests done or go off the deep end with research, but doctors only see you for a few minutes and may only have a brief description of your symptoms. They don't experience the symptoms 24/7 like you do. So yeah, sometimes you just have to insist on somethings.

Agreed! I had to insist on it as well. And you're right, the thyroid antibody test is key, because it *is* possible to have a borderline ANA and a really screwed-up thyroid.

I think my hubby should get tested for this. He has shown symptoms of thyroid problems. Of course he wont though.

Kobo Coupon Series Suggestion

Need something to spend your coupon on?

I just found out that Laura Parker has her Rose series in ebook format!

Rose Trilogy ($4.99 Reg Price)
1. Rose of the Mists (1985)
2. A Rose in Splendor (1986)
3. The Secret Rose (1987)

These are historical romances. I would say unless revised the term bodice ripper applies here. I plan to get them as soon as my internet stops cutting in and out. I hope she releases more of her backlist!
