Barnes & Noble magazine deal - Subscribe and get a year of back issues

I'm wondering if its because you technically have 14 days free on all new subscriptions...maybe they are making us wait until after the 'trial period'

ETA: This may be the cause because I still have not been charged for the subscription and my order status is still showing "Not Yet Shipped"...all my e-books orders say shipped

It might be worth contacting B&N to ask. From the T&C, it says

"Offer only valid for the recipient of this e-mail using a NOOK account associated with the e-mail address above and is not transferable."

but then goes on to say

"In order to take advantage of this offer, customers must have a valid nook.com account with a credit card on file. For those who do not have a nook.com account, please follow the prompts to create an account for free."

Unless they're sending this email out to people who don't have a nook.com account, that really doesn't make sense. I guess you could call and say you got the email, but didn't get the back issues.

it's seems you are correct. I cancelled my subscription (for now). The 2 issues I did get were in black and white on Nook for PC and after asking them about the back issues, I got this message (regarding the original sale on sept 4-6) :

We understand your concern regarding the promotional offer of eSubscriptions.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and will be glad to assist you with this issue.

We would like to inform that as of now Barnes and Noble did not anounce any such promotions regarding the eSubscriptions. In order for further investigation we requested you to provide us the email. However after going through your records we see that your account is not yet charged for the subscription as it is in 14 days free trail. If you wish to unsubscribe the magazine please follow the steps listed below:

1. Visit www.bn.com and click on Account located to the right of our logo.

2. Sign In to your Account and click on "My Account”.

3. Now click on "Manage Your NOOK Subscriptions" Under Digital Content tab.

4. Click on the "Magazines", locate the publication you wish to cancel.

5. Then Click on "Cancel your subscription".

If you have further questions or inquiries, please feel free to contact us again and we would be glad to assist you.

Maybe i'll catch a good offer near the end of year and maybe they'll fix the display issue by then

I got an email about a similar offer. I believe the previous offers were Hearst magazines and this one is with Meredith (Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, etc.). The offer this time is Subscribe to select magazines and get a $5 gift card. Terms & conditions are here. I don't see anything in this one about having to have gotten the email, but it does say you have to remain a subscriber through two billing cycles to get the $5 gift card (about 45 days).
