I've had Amazon credit back to my card when buying DVDs. But for Kindle purchases they've always given me a credit. Well, I say always, but I've only returned two books there due to horrible formatting issues.

It might be because of Kobo's "no return" policy. I completely disagree with the practice of issuing credit instead of a refund, but from Kobo I've returned at least three times and always received credit. Amazon - a few more returns and always refunded the same method of payment.

Have you tried the Florastor probiotic? It's supposed to be really helpful because it's fungal and the antibiotics won't kill it. I tried it when I was getting over the c. diff the hospital gave me while trying to treat my gall bladder.

This has been my experience with Amazon also. They typically refund in the same way as the original method of payment. Their return policy is very liberal - no questions asked - however, if you abuse the policy and return "a lot" of books (I've heard 30 or so is the limit but don't know for sure), they will cut off your account.

Hmm, I had puchased my books with a credit card and got back gift card credit at Amazon. I shop enough there that it didn't really matter to me. I am just happy Kobo is now offereing credit for the messed up books. When they first got bought out they were quoting that all sale are final line and wouldn't even do that. And I shop there enough I don't mind the store credit. I actually prefer that to having to use my credit card since they don't have a cart. I don't like having to track all of the single charges when I go on a book buying spree. |

"When you are ready to purchase an eBook, please click the BUY NOW button and you will be taken to the secure checkout page and any Kobo store credit you have in your Kobo account will automatically apply to your purchase. " So since they keep track, I don't mind as much. And why don't they have a cart? Thank you Library Addict .

Hi AnemicOak. The book I bought could not even be downloaded. I just kept getting an error message. But I would like to think that most companies would issue a return if the circumstance warranted it.

Yes, like I said their basic policy (B&N, Sony, Kobo, Diesel, etc.) is no refunds, but they'll all generally make exceptions for certain thing (like not being able to download). It gets trickier to get a refund after you've downloaded, for things such as formatting issues.

Amazon is different. They refund your books in the way it was purchased. If you paid by credit card then you get refunded to your credit card. I have return a few books some high dollar like close to $20 because Hubby's Professor at the last minute change what book was needed for an assignment. You have 7 days to receive a refund from Amazon but I have gotten Amazon to refund much later but those are always store credit. I don't think you have to worry about refunding books at Amazon unless you abusive it like some people. Like if you were to return alot of books in a short time then they could flag your account but the occasional return Amazon understands. When you return a book during the 7 day period there is small form to fill out on why you are doing so. I wont return a book after I read it to me that's just silly. Now Audible has a different policy. If you didn't like the book then you have up to a year to exchange for another one. I love this because sometimes I get a narrator that is just horrible!
