A lot of people seem to like Sandra Antonelli's books; I'll give in one day and try her though I'm not too keen on older-people romances

Both my plan to pick up less books (free and otherwise) and my book culling project are going well so far. I created a Calibre library where I now send the books I plan to get rid of, so I can work on them later without fear I'll inadvertently delete something I shouldn't. It is hard work. I have to choose the books, delete them from Calibre, Goodreads and the bookstore account (only doing this for Amazon and Kobo, though). However, I'm only doing it in snatches of time here and there so the whole process is not that bad.

I bought one book this week - and it killed my Kobo, so I've been totally uninspired to use that 50% off Kobo code or do any on-clicking. :/ I'm sure I'll get over it the next time Kobo has a contest!

OT: I finally passed that stone! Started having symptoms last night so drank lemon water, took cranberry pills and this morning it was gone. (I got visual proof) I also took another test and it was a big fat negative!

I tried really really hard to buy more books with the 50% code. But I think I've pretty much bought everything over the past several months.

I did manage to nab 4 newly couponable books off my various wishlists (highlighted). The rest are all $1.49/$0.99 bargains.

12 books (counting the Gardner bundle as individual titles) @ $11.91 for a $0.99 average

I will get the 2 Kensingtons with the pricing problems if they ever fix them.

Me too I haven't had a decent night sleep since before labor day.
Hubby and I got into last night because I've been so sick. He has never had to take antibiotics in his adult life. He doesn't understand how tired and sick they make you. I tried to point this out to him but being the man he is...he didn't listen and just grumble the whole time he cleaned to prove his point.

Well my house is clean now.

I read nearly all the samples and the ones I got were the ones I liked the best. I did put a few on my wish list as "low priority" (I just have one big wish list with a column I label).

There's also Escape Publishing which is Harlequin's Australian digital first imprint. And Carina UK which I haven't really browsed through yet. I just looked through the imprints' websites and then looked them up at Kobo because the Kobo sort feature hates me

I am excited about the two Australian imprints because the stories are mostly by local authors and the language hasn't been "Americanized." It annoys me when US publishers change all the slang, etc to the US versions because then the characters don't sound like they are from other countries. I did however change the single quote dialogue tags on the books that were formatted that way. Oddly enough, only about 40% of them were. The rest had double quotation marks. I just find books easier to read that way.

I'm still having trouble with IEvsKobo, whatever, I don't have time for this today. Obviously by my purchase list it hasn't made me suffer too much. LOL
I'm 2xbudget this week, but we all know that's totally acceptable when there's a Kobo sale, and I got a few off my wishlist that have been there for a long time. Trying to buy a few 'top 100 of all time romances', and some from wishlist that are now couponable too, as you can see from my list.
