I bought Lucifer's Daughter awhile ago, and loved it( even if I felt that it was a bit overpriced). The rest of the books in the series are on the list of books I am buying with Kobo's coupon tomorrow or on tuesday. I am extremely proud of myself for not buying any books before my CC bill is due.( Primarily due to big the CC bill I have after booking my trip to WFC in Oct.)

Okay I have to clean out the freezer in the garage and do some other stuff around the house that I've been putting off so I don't plan on buying anything else today.

I also pre-ordered Stolen Kisses by Kate Donovan from Samhain. I noticed I bought a lot of amnesia stories as well as heroine-is-the-little-sister-of-the-hero's-bff themed books this week. |

![]() Here are my meager purchases for the week: Fading by E K Blair - $0.99 Snow-Kissed by Laura Florand - $0.49 The Chocolate Thief by Laura Florand - $0.99 Both my plan to pick up less books (free and otherwise) and my book culling project are going well so far. I created a Calibre library where I now send the books I plan to get rid of, so I can work on them later without fear I'll inadvertently delete something I shouldn't. It is hard work. I have to choose the books, delete them from Calibre, Goodreads and the bookstore account (only doing this for Amazon and Kobo, though). However, I'm only doing it in snatches of time here and there so the whole process is not that bad. |

I bought one book this week - and it killed my Kobo, so I've been totally uninspired to use that 50% off Kobo code or do any on-clicking. :/ I'm sure I'll get over it the next time Kobo has a contest!

Anyway, I bought: Fate and Consequences by Linda Wells (a Pride and Prejudice variation, because I am addicted) |

Okay here's my books for the week. It's so much easier doing a visual report!

I also got a few Audibles too.I only use the mega coupon 3 times. ![]() OT: I finally passed that stone! Started having symptoms last night so drank lemon water, took cranberry pills and this morning it was gone. (I got visual proof) I also took another test and it was a big fat negative!

I tried really really hard to buy more books with the 50% code. But I think I've pretty much bought everything over the past several months.

I did manage to nab 4 newly couponable books off my various wishlists (highlighted). The rest are all $1.49/$0.99 bargains.12 books (counting the Gardner bundle as individual titles) @ $11.91 for a $0.99 average ![]() I will get the 2 Kensingtons with the pricing problems if they ever fix them. |

Hubby and I got into last night because I've been so sick. He has never had to take antibiotics in his adult life. He doesn't understand how tired and sick they make you. I'm starting Probiotics tomorrow and drinking electrolytes drinks and eating potassium rich foods.. For some reason it brings my potassium levels too low every time I take a round of them. Last time I had to go in for an IV of liquids. I'm trying to prevent that. I've been too sick to read. Surely he can tell if I am not reading I am not well enough to do other stuff. Funny Story. He always tells me I don't do anything but read which I ignore because it's just his way. Well this past month I haven't been able to do actually do much at all so the house has suffer. That's the thing about Housework you don't notice how much gets done unless it's not done then you notice everything. I tried to point this out to him but being the man he is...he didn't listen and just grumble the whole time he cleaned to prove his point. ![]() Well my house is clean now.

There's also Escape Publishing which is Harlequin's Australian digital first imprint. And Carina UK which I haven't really browsed through yet. I just looked through the imprints' websites and then looked them up at Kobo because the Kobo sort feature hates me ![]() I am excited about the two Australian imprints because the stories are mostly by local authors and the language hasn't been "Americanized." It annoys me when US publishers change all the slang, etc to the US versions because then the characters don't sound like they are from other countries. I did however change the single quote dialogue tags on the books that were formatted that way. Oddly enough, only about 40% of them were. The rest had double quotation marks. I just find books easier to read that way. Last edited by library addict; 09-15-2013 at 02:29 PM. |

I'm still having trouble with IEvsKobo, whatever, I don't have time for this today. Obviously by my purchase list it hasn't made me suffer too much. LOL I'm 2xbudget this week, but we all know that's totally acceptable when there's a Kobo sale, and I got a few off my wishlist that have been there for a long time. Trying to buy a few 'top 100 of all time romances', and some from wishlist that are now couponable too, as you can see from my list. Book Buys this week: 15 books, $30 Entice – Ella Frank When Fangirls Cry – Marian Tee So Much It Hurts – Melanie Dawn Loving Me Trusting You – C.M. Stunich The Boy Who Sneaks in My Window – Kirsty Moseley Alluring Turmoil – Skye Turner - rockstar, so excited about this one Taking Chances & Stealing Harper – Molly McAdams Tempting the Player – J. Lynn Rules of Entanglement – Gina L. Maxwell Façade – Nyrae Dawn Poughkeepsie – Debra Anastasia Perfect Chemistry – Simone Elkeles Hush Hush – Becca Fitzpatrick One Tiny Lie – K.A. Tucker [loved Ten Tiny Breaths, thanks Loosheesh!] |
