That's a very good question. I discovered this a couple of weeks ago. I knew coupons don't work on pre-orders, but I'm not sure why PayPal doesn't work on pre-orders. Perhaps they don't charge you until it's released.

PayPal is gone now!

There is a new checkout screen and Kobo I don't like
it! Bring back PayPal

Also now it doesn't take you to download your purchase page you have to navigate to your Library and then download it.

Now I have the old layout back after logging back in! PayPal is there. Kobo is starting to remind me of Amazon. Remember when sometimes you would log in you would get the new style and sometimes when you log in you would get the old style before it completely switched over. I believe this is what's happening and I am happy to hear you are getting the new one with PayPal. Kobo must have seen my thread in the Kobo forum and fixed it!

I sometimes still get the old style on my PC. My laptop always seems to get the new. But I've had Paypal under both.

I hope that the download page after buying doesn't go away. I like it.

Ditto - except opposite. My PC (mine) gets the new style (with paypal as of last night) and my laptop (work, but using my home wifi) still gets the old. I wonder if it has something to do with IP addresses (or something else unique to the computer or network you're on, not your account info) - like they are rolling out the design release in some sort of phase order having to do with that. But what do I know? My actual knowledge about these could fit on a pin head....

ETA - if they do get rid of paypal, they will lose a BIG chunk of my business. Possibly good for my book budget (or lack thereof) but bad for them - and my book hoarding pleasure

I'm thinking it was a oversight and I just happened to buy a book before they fixed it. It was like 2AM when I was shopping.

Someone in another thread commented that the PayPal option was missingk so hopefully they just broke it and aren't planning to take it away.

Something odd happened just now, I went to buy a book and I usually use an account with an us adress, but since I wanted to use the 50% code B2S50 and had already used it with that account I sign in with another account with the location in portugal.

the book was 4.59$ US and with the 50% coupon it was 2.28$ US, but in euros it was 4,12€ and with the coupon 2,28€, it should be 2,11€, not sure if this is comon or was just in this case.

Could be taxes. Huh, that's really convoulted calculation. I'm assuming they don't discount taxes, but what is correct percentage?
