I had it on my Fire, but uninstalled it just to play it safe. I then downloaded it all over again, etc...

It didn't work for me and I downloaded the Local app for the very first time on my Android phone. Then again, I was able to take advantage of the 40% off membership coupon so I'm not going to complain too much.

To the people having trouble with the Audible/Amazon local promotion: Are you entering the voucher code in the gift code or a promo code?

I didn't have any issues with it, but I entered it as a promo code on the Redeem Promotion page you might try there if you haven't already. Just a thought. I don't have a membership with credits so that may also make a difference.

P.S. It will take you through to "Welcome to Audible" page with another button to click in order to claim the voucher if it works.

It looped me through that welcome page twice (once to make me log in, then a second as I redeemed it) and I now have $15 in my account as well.

I amended my post to indicate that the Amazon Local app may need to be installed to redeem it.

Heads up for those with a Samsung Galaxy Player. It will tell you for some weird reason your device isn't compatible on Play and at Amazon app store.

It's a mistake as it says my old Vortex is compatible and it uses Android 2.2!

You can sideload the app and get it at 1Mobile here

Doesn't work for existing members.

Blossom, you are super-duper awesome!! Everywhere I tried to get the app, it would tell me my device wasn't compatible. I'd given up. I side-loaded from the site you linked to and was able to claim the voucher. I'm now $10.00 richer to buy audiobooks; off to the WfV classics I go
