Firmware 2.8.1 ?

This has been discussed. And yes, others are seeing it.

Interestingly (or not), I got it when the fw was newly installed, but haven't seen it after the first week or two. And I remember the same issue happening on an earlier fw that was also freshly installed and then "magically" disappearing as well. Weird, but good. Can't promise you anything though, as others have this issue continuously. When you mentioned this today, it just triggered in my head that mine seems to have vanished this firmware version as well.

Still no update on my Mini But since other users seem to get it only a few days ago, I guess the roll out is still going on.

Thanks Uboot, but as for me I prefer to wait for the official release. With or without it, I'm good so I don't mind the wait.
So far, on the Aura I don't see many differences with the previous firmware, so I can skip this one altogether

same here: I am in no hurry either, but wanted to let others who may be wondering why they are not getting it that they are not alone :-)

With a new firmware update coming in little bit more than two weeks (if I understand well the integration of Pocket to the existing devices), I bet my Mini will never see the 2.8.1 one. No big deal for me, though.

It seems so.

Pocket will be available on Kobo e-readers starting Sept. 13 as part of Kobo’s enhanced Reading Life platform, in the Articles from Pocket section on the Kobo 6” Aura and on all previous e-readers with their over-the-air software update.

But "again" won't apply to everyone , since some Touch and Mini don't have received the 2.8.1 update, thus are still running the 2.6.2 (or is it 2.6.1?) firmware version.

Maybe the reason 2.8.1 was not out for them was due to the pocket integration. Seems to be a waste of time to roll them out when a new update is right around the corner. Plus the 2.8.1 is running fine on both the touches here.

My thoughts exactly. Since this morning, I don't wonder anymore why only one of my Kobo devices got the update.

Yes, I get this on my Aura HD on 2.8.1. However, all three Aura HDs that I have used so far have had two page turn issues on a reasonably frequent basis, so I don't know if it's firmware or some underlying hardware issue or both.

Mine seems to have gotten worse. I'm now getting a corrupted display on pretty much every page turn (the bottom half of the screen, plus a strip about three lines long higher up, flash into place, and then the whole page flashes and rewrites correctly), with multiple page-turns every three pages or so. And yesterday, a tap on the right side of the screeen started moving the pages backwards, and then after five pages or so it spontaneously started moving forward again. This has happened maybe half a dozen times.

I haven't had any accidents with my Aura — no drops, no squashes in a crammed satchel — so if it's a hardware problem it would be surprising. I made sure all the IR ports round the inside of the bezel had no dust or hairs in them ... I have no idea what else to think, except that it might be a f/w issue.

Just so you have more data, on my Aura HD I didn't have double-page turns before the update and I don't have after it either.
I hope your problem will be solved soon

I've been having the occasional triple page turn on my Aura HD since I installed 2.8.1; doesn't happen often, so it's only a minor inconvenience for me - but I certainly wouldn't want this to get worse.
