She's an autobuy author for me. There were 4 or 5 authors I was willing to pay full agency pricing for and she's one of them.

Did you read her Bodyguards series? The series is really hit-or-miss for me, but Black Ops Inc is a spin-off from it and my absolute favorite couple of hers from the first book (Show No Mercy) in the BOI series were introduced in the last of the Bodyguards books, Into the Dark. You could read Show No Mercy first, but I really think you will like it more if you read Into the Dark beforehand.

Here's a list of the order of the related series. I have also listed it with the couples names and my ratings in the spoiler section (since I know some new-to-a-series folks may consider the couples a spoiler).

Hope this OK...here's a few Kobo codes for you guys...you're always so active and generous and I still have yet to purchase from Kobo....for those of you that have:

1. How can you tell what books take the codes?
2. Can the codes be used more than once? If so, by the same user or only by different users?
3. Does the Alf plug-in work for the liberation of Kobo books?

Ensure you have your settings to allow for coupon codes.

Go to Account Settings Page:

Checkout for eBook purchases
Option 1 Show me Quick Buy — Charges are applied to the credit card we have on file

Then when you click on Buy Now for a book you will be taken to a Confirm Purchase page. Below the credit card information and billing address there is a Redeem any Gift Cards or Promo Codes section. Contest codes are one time use only. Once someone uses them, that's it.

Kobo often gives other codes that are good once per account. Plus they sometimes give out codes which are reusable, but those are more rare.

One last stupid question....how do you make Kobo allow you to purchase more than one book at a time (i.e. Shopping cart)? I hate having to process separate transactions for multiple items!

I'm getting the Calibre error again.

It must be a plugin issue since I know it's not a system issue. Going to have to remove my plugins and test which one is causing it to figure out how to go about fixing. Grr!

Kobo is like Amazon, there is no cart. You have to buy books one at a time.

They used to have electronic gift cards, so I would just purchase one and send it to myself to buy books with. But that service is temporarily disabled.

You could try using a prepaid credit card.

Doesn't Calibre have a Safe mode or am I thinking of a debug mode...

I have no clue what I am doing. I can't even remember which plugins I manually installed and which come with the program.

It's not the obvious one as I totally uninstalled it, restarted my computer and got the same error.

No it's not only Windows lots of programs have Safe Mode like FireFox and Chrome. I just couldn't remember if Calibre had one.
