I just upgraded to Calibre 1.0 and have been looking at all my books in the new cover grid (loooove it

). Holy cow do I have a bunch of books I'm dying to read. I REALLY need to stop shopping and do more reading!

I'm starting to feel like more of a collector than a reader.

Ooh, I'm still trying to solve the error I was getting. Doing the Restore point messed up Dropbox, Box, and Copy. So I had to deal with all of that first. This has been a bad month for me and technology

I've been a collector for years and only starting reading again after I bought my netbook then a eReader and finally a Kindle!

I too just upgraded tonight. I love the grid and virtual library tabs!

I upgraded today. I like the grid, I think it will be useful for some reading challenges. But the cutest thing, for me, isn't new but I didn't know it: to put small icons in front of the titles depending on other columns (tags). Nice!

I've read it here: calibre blog, at the "Allow adding user specified icons to the main book list for books whose metadata matches specific criteria. [0.9.17]".

My cozy mysteries now have a cute cat over books in front of them

I am assuming all the plug in's still work with the new update? Since I can't figure out how I got them to work in the first place, I can't have them break.

You know, sometimes I do feel like I spend more time hunting down books, cataloging them, looking them up to do my vetting, than I do actually reading the darn things.

I couldn't agree with either of you more! Atunah, I feel the exact same way about plugins etc, I don't know how I got it all to work, and I don't want to mess it up so I usually don't touch any of it! I always say I love technology, but it does not love me!

I hear ya. I am using some older plugins for you know what. I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the old and put that new all in one thingy in. So I left it alone. The read me files on those things are like hieroglyphs for me.

So I hope they would still work if I update, since they are older plugins.

That is why I haven't yet, I am worried it all breaks and I can't backup my books anymore.
