When Amazon gives you promotional credit, how do you go about applying it. They have given me credit before and I was never able to apply it.

That depends on what kind of promo and where it is. I mean, is it mp3 promo, or movie etc.
If its for a product other than digital, it will appear when you put something in the cart and then checkout. It will be in the payment section where you can pick paying by giftcard, CC points or credit card. It shows up called something like promotional offer or code. I can't recall now.

To see where it is in regards to the promo section, I go to instant movies, click on one and on the bottom of the black screen where the movie info is, click on where it says "redeem a gift card of promo code" It lists all the different promo's you might have. I always seem to have some in mp3.
I once had a promo in "kindle editions" and no way to using that. I tried calling and emailing for 2 weeks, never could figure it out. Didn't even know where that one came from. Then it just disappeared.

Yeah they need to fix the promos to be more clear. I have $2 mp3 credit right now I think I remember getting but forget how to use it....Oh Karen! (Koland) What was the last mp3 promo? is there way to search for past promos on your blog?

Never mind found the promo. It was from Roku. Picked up the new LeeAnn Rimes Album for $3.99

They had a weird promo credit for hundreds of amazoncrossing books that they gave many people (based on buying something during a certain time period, it appeared). It was a dollar maximum (the amount we all saw) only good on certain books and for some percentage off (IIRC; could have been a $$ off/title). I looked at the list and didn't see but one book I was remotely interested in and I already had it. I suspect few used any of the credit.

I do wish they would let us see the expiration dates on the credits we have. As well as the amounts they are in - many of them don't combine, so a $5 credit might require three purchases to use (and the $1 credits might be used before a $3 credit, due to expiration dates).

I think I have a $3 credit that expires at the end of the month (amazonlocal deal) and two $1 credits that expire in 2014, currently (which I only know because I was looking thru promo credit emails recently).

I have a "Deals with Deadlines" section on the right menu bar (sort of near the top). Click on any with (KSO) in the header and and then on the category displayed right under the title to see a date-sorted list of the Kindle Special Offers. The same works for (AL) deals, to see the AmazonLocal Deals.

You can also use the search box in the upper right corner. It may return a lot more than you want tho. I just searched for "MP3 Credit" and got the Kenny Chesney album deal, the $3 MP3 credit, a bargain post that included some MP3's and then a $2 MP3 credit deal (from May 3).

Has anyone else noticed that a bunch of pre-orders are dropping to 50% off cover on Amazon? I've seen several of my planned purchases drop from Avon, Harlequin (MIRA/HQN lines) and Kensington.

One of them isn't even due out until Jan 2014. I figure I might as well order them, can always cancel if something interesting like a Kobo contest is going on while the release date approaches.

Didn't want to chance them marking it as Spam again, though (I was only down a few hours from that, but another blog I ran was killed forever and there is no way to contact them for an appeal).

I just bought a ton of classical last night. Hubby comes home and asks for me to load his memory card for his car stereo with Classical Music. So I told him I have none. It's just something I never needed to buy before. Luckily it's cheap enough. $25 later (some of it his money) he has enough to last him a life time. How's that for romantic? Me giving up some of my book money for him to be able to relax while driving. It's okay because I've made $125 in Amazon Gift Cards from Swagbucks.

I imagine switching from Blogger to Wordpress was a chore. I've been using WP for years for my blogs and I still don't know everything there is to using it. I have had Database go bad several times so backup daily your blog if you don't already.


Now I'm off to check the slush pile. It hasn't been too good this month so far.
