This is the stuff we use now. Pleasant smell, not oily, convenient roll-on, and effective. I realized as I was looking for this picture that when we lived here the last time we had to keep electric mosquito repellers going 24/7 in every room. Plug-in units that have either little saturated mats or bottles of liquid that get warmed, releasing God only knows what into the air, but it kept away all the flying critters.

Almost time for a Lime Slushie, with just a wee touch of tequila in it, and a movie. Tonight, in honor of the tequila, we'll watch 'Get the Gringo.'

Cranky today. Didn't get much sleep last night and it's rainy today. But tomorrow we have tickets to the Pender Harbour Chamber Music Festival, so that to look forward to. But today, just struggle through. Fresh squeezed orange juice and Peet's Lion Mountain Keemun should help.

Thanks. Better, but still a bit on the grumpy side. I'm going to give up on the computer, and go downstairs, sit in my Comfy Chair, with a dog on my lap, a mug of Keemun Xian Zhen, a couple of TimTams and a good book. That should do it.

Thanks for the mention of Lemon Eucalyptus! I have a trip to backwoods northern Wisconsin coming up, so I'll get a bottle and try it out. Unless I'm lucky enough to find that the mosquitoes are all gone by mid September.

I missed this morning due to technical difficulties; the hot water pot decided not to work. I actually had to boil water on the hob!

Oh, the horrors of reverting to Cave-dweller living! I disassembled the water pot while drinking my morning tea (unbranded Keemun, of course. If I have to rough it, I'll do it in comfort!) and found the problem, fixed it, and we are happy campers once again.

And so... now drinking an afternoon mug of Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire tea! Nice brew!

Good afternoon Stitchawl (early morning/late night for me). I'm glad you didn't have to "rough it" for long and were able to get your hot water pot fixed.

Yellow Tea in my cup. Can't wait for the weekend. We have some hikes planned with the DB. I might even get to sleep in past 8 on Sunday.
