Question about annotation on Onyx BOOX i62 Touch
I'm gonna buy Onyx BOOX i62 Touch to view PDF and make some annotation on PDF files, mainly. I want to make sure that is it possible to make annotation on file and then I can copy that PDF file to my computer or my android tablet to review it?
It means that the annotation on Onyx write directly to PDF file, same as I use Adobe on my computer to make note and I can view anywhere. Is it? |

hello, for reading pdf it's better the m92 because it's wider. However the software in i62 an m92 is the same.
So, you can mark and annotate - you can draw lines or click on the graphical keyboard but don't expect to write novels, just a couple of words. then, there is an option to create a new pdf with all the corrections you have done. but I don't know if you can mark a pdf on a tablet and be able to see the mark in the reader too. So, in handling pdf boox are great, with some bugs and limitations (give a look in the forum); i62 has a little screen, but for some pdf it's ok (pages with 2-3 columns or large margins). last but not least, there will be (soon?) a new model that will take place of i62, so don't expect great improvements in the software. The exported PDF made by M92 with all Handwriting and highlighted Text is compatible with a Tablet. I tested the exported PDF on an Android Tablet with the PDF-app ezPDF.
With ezPDF you can delete, and add Highlighted Text as well as delete the scribbling and you can see it on the M92. and of course compatible to the PC -> e.g PDF XChange Viewer -> M92 Last edited by Dolansky; 07-31-2013 at 01:41 PM. |

Let me offer a suggestion about the i62 replacement and software. First, the follow on to the i62 will be based on the Android software platform instead of Linux. The e-book reading software may not have as many features or be able to read as many different e-book formats as the current i62. I was thinking of waiting, but decided to not wait because of this very issue. The Linux based e-book reading programs, which still having some bugs, are very advanced compared to what is anticipated to be available on the initial Android platform. Eventually the Android platform will catch up, but that is going to take a while.
