Yes, they are very pretty, and quite big yes, they are Bernese Mountain Dogs, orginiating from Switzerland. Used as guarddogs, hearding cattle and pulling milkwagons up and down the alps from the summer feeding meadows.

They grow to about 65-70 centimeters in height, and weigh in at about 50-60 kilograms as adults.

And we have two of them... males Tho one is only a 20 weeks old puppy tho, but already weighs in at 25 kilograms

(Obviously you will need one, unnyloned, foot to act as a control foot in your great toe warming experiment, so one sock should suffice for now.
If the experiment works, I can give you the other sock at Christmas, and it saves me having to think what to get you then. )
