Hum, I thought I could provide some light on whether this happens with original kepubs from Kobo, but for some reason when I went into the store, they are no longer marked as bought and re-downloadable! I would have to re-purchase them. So that is a separate issue I have to work out with Kobo support, sorry I can't help with that, at least not yet.
FWIW, I am on a Glo, so it's not just Auras. Lastly, I am curious: You say you have been able to reproduce the problem, but that you will be unable to do something about it until Kobo issues another FW. Is it something that's possible to explain to a layman with no programming experience? :-) |

Kobo broke handling of embedded fonts. Until Kobo fixes how they handle embedded fonts, any books using embedded fonts may break.

So there is hope, then, that Kobo might address it :-) Thank you.

Is the "Delete Empty Bookshelves" option broken in 2.0.1. I just deleted a bunch of books from my Aura and the associated bookshelves did not go away.

That's not my functionality, but it's possible that I could be interfering with it. Please try to reproduce this with the main KoboTouch driver with calibre in debug mode. If you can reproduce it with the mainline driver, submit a bug against calibre and include the debug log. If you can't, reproduce it again with my driver and submit a bug with the debug log. In either case, make sure to include whether you're using the old calibre database back end or the new back end. If you see "[newdb]" in the status bar you're using the new back end.
Please also remember that bookshelves are only handled on device connection. If you delete things in calibre the bookshelf changes will only happen the next time you connect the device. This is a limitation of Kobo devices, we can't do anything about it. Last edited by jgoguen; 07-30-2013 at 04:08 PM. |

What the "Generally Awesome Person" said. Plus check that the metadata management preference is set to automatic. This is on the Sending to books page of the calibre preferences.

I'm going to assume that nothing's changed…is highlighting still hit and miss with 2.0?

Yes, unfortunately so. It will continue to be so until I get around to re-working how the Kobo spans are added. With a small child due Any Day Now, that could be a while before I get around to even looking at it

Try signing out and then into your account to "fix" it by creating a new Db. I had an issue with a bad free kobo book and part of the effect was that about a dozen purchased books seemed not to be recognized as already purchased. Removing the offending book is probably an important part of the process. Fortunately, I knew what that was and could remove it using the website.

Taming, I recewntly did a factory reset, so I'm thinking that's where something got screwed up - but then again, those books aren't available with the Kobo Desktop app either. Fortunately I still have them for Adobe DL on the website.

![]() Since I can't make a git patch (can't use git...), can I send you a normal diff (or the full container.py) file? The diffs are relatively small... My approach is to use a <DUMMY> tag as a container for the spans generated by a node's text and than remove it when appending it to the originating node.
