Problem converting to epub

I'm converting a PDF file to EPUB but the lines are all broken ):

Original PDF

EPUB

How do i fix it? Changing the un-wrapping factor did not work.

Changing the unwrapping factor should correct this. Every time you convert a book you must change the unwrapping factor in the conversion of the book itself and not in the global options. Otherwise the conversion will use the saved settings from the initial conversion.

If the unwrapping factor doesn't work you may have to repair the ePub using an editor like Sigil.

Hopefully someone with more conversion experience with PDF will step in with more specific guidance.

Personally I follow the advice of the Sticky post and avoid using PDF as a source file whenever possible.

I was doing something wrong. It works now.
Now i have a problem with double l's. The second l is skipped and "Billy" shows up as "Bil y". But it doesn't happen all the time, only with some words. But it really bothers me

Read the sticky post I linked to. What you describe is a problem with the underlying program calibre uses for PDF conversion. If I recall correctly to get around this problem some folks use Mobipocket Creator (a Windows program) to convert the PDF to html or mobi (prc) and then add the converted file to calibre to convert to ePub.

Thanks, i will try the mobipocket creator. I have a Mac, so i'll need a virtual machine lol
