It's uploading at 1.2 MB/sec and I have just over 21 gb so it will be a while, but I will try to see if I can access it in different browsers when it's done.

Is it possible to use a windows shortcut to have a backup copy of specific folders that are in my Dropbox folder in my Copy folder as well? Or would I need a symbolic link for that? Or if a folder is in Dropbox should I not have it elsewhere? [the folder I am inquiring about contains Word documents I update on a regular basis] I get there are differences between a regular shortcut and a symbolic link but confess I don't understand what they are. |

Well, I've joined the party ... can't remember whose link I used though. Does Copy support folder upload from the mobile app? I still have to download that. Last edited by graycyn; 07-28-2013 at 08:43 PM. Reason: added sentence |

Yes, you can upload Folders or individual files from the mobile app. Just click the upload button and navigation to the folder/file you wanna upload.

I'm uploading at 78-150kb... so it's going to be days (maybe even weeks! ) until I get enough to see at what point it might choke. Uploading the books didn't take as long, or it's just the time of day. Hopefully it'll go faster during the night. |

With the slow uploads speeds being reported I wonder if their servers are getting choked.

Did it make it a shared folder in the app or on your PC? Wow your speeds are awesome! I got like 900kbps last night.

It made it a shared folder in the app. The folder isn't on my pc, it's on the network, so maybe that made a difference. My speed is now down to 671kbps. Thanks for jinxing it!

No link needed shortcut will work. Just add the folder shortcut to the Copy's folder and it will upload the folders and each time you update them on dropbox it will update them on Copy. I'm not sure why the symbolic link would ever be needed for Copy?

Okay that makes sense it's on your network it was already a shared folder so the app made it a shared folder. I am sure you can unshare it though on the app.

I did unshared it thru the app already. I am back up to 1 MB/sec, but it is spending a lot of time "Updating Database". Within the MP3 folder I have 7,977 Files, 690 Folders so that is a lot to index.

I'll add my Calibre libraries tomorrow. Just adding shortcuts is so easy and seems too good to be true So happy that it actually works! Thanks for the help.

My 20GB mp3 folder finished uploading and I have no problem accessing it on either IE 10 or on Firefox on my W7 pc - it comes up very quickly. I also can access it on my Nexus 7 in Dolphin, Opera, Firefox and Chrome. Android was a little slower, but not by a lot. I have 50 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up, so maybe you need a high speed connection? I also changed a lot in about:config for Firefox in Android so I don't know if that helped.
