Online storage... new kid on the block - Page 9

I've been able to still use Copy without a problem with Firefox 22.0, including late last night and today. But right now there's maybe only 4GB uploaded, so I can't test if the amount of storage makes the difference or not.

Did you try clearing out your cache and the cookies for the site with the problem browsers?

Edit: Maybe later today I can start uploading photos, that should be a good test once that's completed.

Yep and even Safe Mode it still freezes. It works in IE9 just no Chrome, FireFox or Android Browser. I get the same behavior you get with your Kobo it just freezes.

It tells me the script isn't responding and if I tell it to wait it just freezes. I let it sit there 10 minutes with no luck. It needs to be fixed because very few people use IE still.

What happens is I go the Storage area then Click on my Calibre folder and it lists the subfolders when I click on those it freezes and within a minute the script not responding message shows up.

I think it has to do with the size of what's in a given folder maybe? It works fine for me in Chrome, but my Calibre library only has about 2,800 books in it. What I do notice is it takes longer for things to work than it does when I click on a folder with under a GB inside it than one with more than a GB and/or one with lots of subfolders.

I tried clicking on my smallest Library which is about 170MB and it still does it. It has 131 subfolders each folder has about 3 books, and a opf in it.

So the path is like this. Calibre.ink/ReadBks/Author
and that's where it is freezing.

How much do you have uploaded? Mine is 12GB.

So it seems to be a issue with those who have alot uploaded.

I guess they really didn't think people would actually use the free space! I mean the Android app works quick and fast no problems but they need to fix the website.

I have no problem with either browser, but I don't have over 10 gb yet. I'll be interested to see how this turns out. Right now, I am getting very fast response for the amount that I have in it.

It would be nice to know the limit where it starts to choke.

It would be good if they had some kind of log that we could use to send in when it comes up. Programmers could then use that to identify the problem areas. It probably has something to do with the database structure that is being used.

Agreed a log would be good. It's important for those who are experiencing this to report it to support so they can fix it. If we could narrow down what size it starts at that may help. IE9 comes to stand still but eventually recovers but it's slow as molasses once it does. The other two just freeze.

Okay, I joined Copy (used Purple Lady's link, thanks).

Now to figure out the shortcut thingy so I don't have to actually move my Calibre folder. Thanks to everyone who has posted tips in this thread.

Just create a normal shortcut to the Calibre folder and drop it into your Copy folder and it will do the rest.
