Ooo, that's a great clock! He could make money with smaller versions, with the grasshopper driving it as with this one, but regular hands (or at least, lights that are correct all the time). It would go great in lots of living rooms!

My first mozzling.
I've been trying to find the ultimate word for insulting others.
I wanted something that would carry no existing connotations (a blank slate, so to speak), but have a solid phonetic impact, a word that wouldn't sound silly being yelled in anger, if you will. At the same time, ideally, I wanted something with a tie to some real word, but not one one that would be instantly recognizable -- people tend to get more insulted when they aren't quite sure what they're being called you understand. ![]() I believe I have finally settled on a word that fits the bill, and I'm turning to my faithful comrades here to help me get it into general use. The word is: derog -- "de" rhymes with "see" and has the accent, "rog" rhymes with "log." Say it with me: "derog." See how nice and staccato that sounds? Very insulting. ![]() It's (sorta) the root of "derogatory" and "derogate" so it theoretically has a connection to the idea of belittling or holding in contempt, which is a bonus. So, simply put, a "derog" is "someone I hold in contempt or wish to insult." How's that for a first foray into the world of mozzling? |

And it's modifier-enabled that way, incompetent derog, filthy derog, stinkin' weasel -- I mean, derog, etc.

geodyschronicity : to be consciously in the same place as someone else, but not at the same time. opposite of geosynchronicity (to be in the same place at the same time) (and i totally do not care that the word "geosynchronous" already exists and refers to satellites having an orbit corresponding to one sidereal day, or geostationary orbit, and will add that i did not know that at the time of the mozzle).
can be used to describe, for instance, visiting a place someone else has previously visited, like if i were to go on a (purely hypothetical ![]() mozzled by zelda on 22 september 2008 |
