As if the Crimson Romance, and Entangled romance sales weren't bad enough, Montlake (Amazon's imprint) has put a bunch of romances on sale for $1.99.

Looks like this sale also includes several of the titles they got when they bought Dorchester's backlist.

If you like Vampires I recommended the the Amanda Ashley titles.
For me she always got the Vampires just right. I own every book she has out.

Has anyone ever bought anything from the Diesel ebook store and then had trouble getting the book to download into the Diesel iPhone app? I have done this in the past with two other books, so I know my account is set up correctly, but I bought a book 2 days ago and can't seem to access it. It shows up on my bookshelf on the website, but doesn't show up when I try to view my bookshelf through the app.

Meanwhile, Diesel customer support is utterly useless. They don't seem to understand the problem, and I can't find a phone number, so all I can do is email them.

Never used their app so I'm not sure. The few times I've had to use their CS it's been good, but there have been a few other posts lately where people say it's not been great for them.

Maybe you can try sending Scott from Diesel a PM here on the forum since he's a member?

Is the book you bought a different format than the one's you've bought in the past?

EDIT: I just installed the app and it only shows 45 of the 50 books on my Diesel account. Strangely it shows the old LIT format books I have, which of course won't download, but doesn't show some of my ePub purchases. Three are from Carina, one from Mira & one from Kensington, but I don't think it's a publisher problem as I have other titles from all three that do show.

On another note it's definitely the worst reading app I've messed with in a long time.

Another EDIT: I don't know if this'll help or not, but I logged into the mobile version of their website using Safari (if you get the full version there is a mobile link at the top of the page) and the bookshelf there showed all my books. I tried downloading one of the ones not showing in the app and it downloaded and launched the Diesel app. If you haven't tried that method it might be a way for you to access your book. It may work from the full version of the site too, I didn't try that.

This book is in the same format as the other two that I had previously purchased (ePub DRM), so there's no obvious reason why it won't download.

I will contact Scott. Thanks for the referral.

He didn't even charge me while he waited 25 minutes at the pharmacy while I got hubby's prescription filled. He then help hubby up to our front door. What a Guy! He's not from around here. He's from Baton Rouge, LA. Got the Cajun accent to match. I couldn't help thinking what a great hero he would make for a book
Blossom - so glad everything has turned out alright for you and hubby! And the cab driver... bet you don't find ones like him in the city, huh? Anyway, it's great that he was there for you when you needed a guardian angel

Don't know whether to laugh or cry...

...over all the deals I've missed! Between being out of touch for basically 3 days AND having absolutely no money, I didn't know if I should be grateful or resentful as I was reading through all the posts I mean, not being here during the deals eases the pain of knowing I probably would have had to pass on them anyway, but oh, I so wanted to get them...I'm just a big ball of confused right now

And it is a sickness, I tell you. Since I couldn't click click click the last 3 days, almost every freebie posted here I clicked clicked clicked because, well, because it's sickness!!

Needless to say, Sunday's accounting will go well for me - or not so well, depending on your point of view

Oh, and keep the freebies coming cuz I gotta click on somethin' (Blossom, thanks for allowing me to feed my addiction with your daily posts )

Anemic Oak, you are a genius! That worked. Now I just have to make a note of it so that I will remember how to do this next time. The key is that I have to log into my account on my iPad instead of through my computer. How come their customer support couldn't figure this out in 7 emails???

It's a good thing I figured it out too, because they are currently having a huge sale, and I found Marie Force's newest book, Fatal Mistake, on sale for $2.57. I wanted to buy it, but was afraid I wouldn't be able to load it. Hmm, maybe it would have been better if you hadn't helped me.

Thanks for the info. I had already purchased the Alissa Johnson book a few years ago which is why I was surprised to see it listed as a Montlake title. Then I remembered the Amazon buyout.
