This is sounding pretty good. I signed up for something similar that Amazon has and haven't touched it cause it seemed like to much work up front just to qualify to do something. may have to give Swagbucks a look, especially now that you guys have been enabling my addiction
I think I;m gonna give swaybucks a go...if you get referral credit, one of you guys can shoot me a link or code and I'll signup with that.

Thanks. I did run it through Calibre converted it to mobi and email it to my Kindle. No more problems. *phew* Although I had to restart 3 times to get it to recognize my custom fonts but I read 9 chapters after that and I'm about 20% in. It felt really good to read after not reading for almost a week.

This book was put out by Kensington so I never expecting to have issues just got to show why I do not read books directly from my Archive. I was upstairs with hubby napping and listening to Sarah and Jane's podcast. I believe it was episode 26 (yes I am that far behind) and they were talking about this book so I figure I could try to read it without running it through Calibre first.

For me it's the old backlist releases from the 80s and 90s.

I just got that sample after someone here probably babbled about it being good. And there goes my spine. Click click click.

I remove everything from 'ref' onwards. As long as you keep everything up to the end of the ASIN (example: B00DXOYW6I) you're good.

(ASIN = Amazon Standard Identification Number)

I hate publishers and their darn geo-restrictions! Finally convinced myself to buy Kresley Cole's The Warlord Wants Forever on sale at ARE and they won't sell it to me. We're away from home for a few days enjoying my in-laws AC, so can't even use my regular tools. Apparently I am not meant to read that series!

Blue2u - you're going to be held responsible for an awful lot of one-clicking in Sunday's accounting! Darn my inability to say no to a rock star!

free @ Amazon, Liz Fielding's Old Desires/A Stranger's Kiss (2-in-1 edition)

Quote:
Old Desires

"And you have the pleasure of sleeping in my four-poster bed."
"Your bed?" The image of his dark head against the lace-edge pillow brought a slow burn to Holly's cheeks.
"Does that bother you?" Joshua asked.
"No," she said, quickly. "Why should it?"
"No reason. But I would have thought an enquiry as to whether I was still using it before you answered was advisable. Or maybe you're not that fussy."

Joshua Kent infuriated Holly - he was cavalier, overbearing and convinced she was a good-for-nothing gold-digger. Far worse was his bombshell that her past was a complete fabrication.

A new identity - and the inheritance which went with it -meant that Holly could embark on a new life. But where did Joshua fit into the scheme of things - was he just using the desire which flared between them to manipulate her? Only time would tell...

"A vintage Liz Fielding novel which made me realize something interesting. Since returning to reading romance novels several years ago, I've come to understand that Liz Fielding is a romance novelist on top of her craft. Reading this one has made me understand that she's been on top of her craft for a very long time indeed. She knows how to give a reader a good time - to make you laugh, cry and make your heart leap with the very intimate and tender emotions that only new love can bring." 4 star review from an Amazon reader

A Stranger's Kiss

Desperate to escape the unwanted attentions of a man following her home from work, Tara Lambert throws herself into the arms of a stranger.

It’s an “out of the frying pan” moment which only gets worse when, the following morning, she encounters Adam Blackmore for the second time.

She’s on a mission to promote her ailing secretarial agency at a glossy new office block. His new company headquarters. He’s convinced her “damsel in distress” act was a set up and it takes all her skill to convince him that she’s exactly what she says she is. All her character to resist the temptation to fall into the trap he’s laid – vital when she discovers that his previous secretary is expecting his child. Then they go on a business trip to Bahrain and everything begins to unravel.
(Just realized I had both of these titles separately for free, too, so you may want to check before 'buying'.)

Well, hope you have a nice holiday at least! I'm dreading the deals I may miss out on while I'm gone, just trying not to think about it!

As for Sunday's accounting, well, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to this Sunday's meeting, you know, getting ready for my trip and all.
