Tomely.com - another pay what you want bundle

Just came across this site. None of the books particularly interest me but in case anyone else is interested. http://tomely.com/ |

Is anyone familiar with this site? Looks interesting and it looks like this is their second bundle.

Just a minor note - it's not a pay-what-you-want, it's a minimum $5 bundle; and at least two of the books are novellas.

They should just say minimum $5. After telling you it's pay what you want, when you actually do put a value lower than $5 they accuse you of being a cheapskate. Not sure how that helps to get money out of people - it's never worked with me in the past. | |

Actually, StoryBundle also has a minimum, but it's $3. I'm sure Humble has a minimum as well so you can't say you don't want to pay anything. I know on games, Humble requires a minimum of $1 to get the Steam keys. So technically, by your definition, none of them are Pay What You Want. |

I tested the current Humble Bundle ebook bundle - with amounts between $0.01 and $0.99 they ask for a captcha, and display a begging-author image.

Humble lets you pay whatever. But the whole point is that they want you to get the extras that they highlight, so they always put the current average. I always round to the nearest dollar to get those. |
