A CASE OF CONSCIENCE. JACK OF EAGLES. VOR (my first modern SF read). The entire DORSAI saga. Blish and a most of the 50's Masters are sorely unappreciated as is and without ebook editions are likely to remain so. Their legacy deserves better.

Just as an aside, I just bought Damnation Alley in e-book. The paper version was last published in 2004 and was originally published in 1967. The ebook was published in May of this year, so perhaps there is movement going on for Zelazny ebooks.

Some of that is due to Litfic's stranglehold on the best- seller lists, though. If you weren't (and in many circles still aren't) writing exclusively for academia, it doesn't matter how good an author you were.

Thanks for the point. Just bought it. (sigh, and people wonder why the old classics are very slowly coming out in ebooks. Not going to get many in copyright books for free or for $2. ) |

I don't think $12 (at Amazon & Google, $14 at B&N and Kobo) is particularly outrageous for The Cities in Flight, but it looks like it's the only Blish available on ebook in the US. And I'm also miffed that most of Iain Banks non-SF is unavailable in the US, but that's clearly not because of literary executor issue.

$12 for an omnibus of four books seems like excellent value for money to me.

Unfortunately it's not sold in the US, but it's easy enough to pay a virtual visit to the UK if you want it.
