Did you notice that Dear Rockstar is classified under both New Adult and... Historical Romance?! (In fact, it's currently number three under Historical Romance!)

It can't be a historical romance! It's set in the 1980s! I was alive then!

So was I!

If you read the Amazon page for that book, the author is Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Goodreads, Pinterest, and Tumblr. AND has a newsletter. Talk about knowing how to market herself. It was also mentioned in the official Selena Kitt newsletter, of all places, and probably in other newsletters as well. And there was a promotion where the first 40 readers who e-mailed their receipt to her would get a five dollar Amazon gift card! Sheesh.

And now I'm tempted by it, even if I refuse to consider it as a "historical" romance.

Me three.

So does that make this a new new adult romance ?

Speaking of NA in general and not this particular book, to me for a book to qualify as a new adult both h/h need to fit the age bracket and the story needs to be about one, the other, or both finding their way in the world with their new independence. The characters' ages alone do not define new adult for me. Billionaire boss/virgin secretary books do not fit the category of new adult.

I paid full price for Sugar Daddy so I better liked it. I bought it I think in 2010. It's good to know though not to go into it expecting a typical romance. So thanks for the heads up.

Slowly feeling better. Spent the day watching Netflix. I finished my series I wont be watching the next season. They killed off my reason I watched it. This is why I never get involved in TV shows.

After feeling crummy all day Hubby called me a few hours ago and said there was a box from Amazon he was bringing. So he gets home and there is this big box from Amazon.

I open it and inside are 3 new books and some coffee candy. A author who befriended me on Facebook sent it to me. How awesome is that!? So this made my week! They are historical western romances which we know are my favorite.

Looks like when I finish my current historical I was be reading one of these gorgeous books.

Glad you're feeling a bit better, being sick sucks! And I have a show that has done that to me two seasons in a row now! Promised myself I'd stop this season, but we shall see...

YAY for boxes from amazon!

One of the books in the Par-tay has an angel theme, and amazon needs to learn to proof read their title copy. "Angles with attitude". Would that be acute angles, obtuse angles, or right angles? I was snorting.

Oh.....maybe I won't ever get around to reading them, then. Is it more of a "women's fiction" type read, like her Friday Harbor series? I haven't read those, either. I've read all or most of her historical romance.

libraryaddict, Critteranne, I like to think of us as getting better, not older!

Blossom, glad you're feeling better today.

Well I broke down and bought 2 today, but hey, I did make it 2 days prior without even 1 purchase so I'm very proud. 1 purchase is because of all you enablers kind people [The Story Guy] And 2, I've had this on my wishlist since it came out, rated very highly at Goodreads. just a fair warning, not a sunshine-and-bunnies book.

Natalie is a mother.
Natalie is a cutter.

Clawing at walls built by resentment, regret, and guilt, Natalie cuts as an escape from a life she never planned.

Staying present is only possible when you let go of the past. But, what if the past won't let go of you?

Just download a sample - it is in the same format as the finished book.

ETA: you don't have to actually download it - just pick "transfer" as a choice, pick any kindle device, then wait to see the extension on the file it wants to save. TPZ is topaz (when downloading)
