Soooo .... I just found out Joe Travis (of Lisa Kleypas' Travis family) is finally going to get his story in Brown-Eyed Girl. It's coming in 2014, and it looks like it picks up right from the end of Smooth Talking Stranger. So. Psyched!

Just wanted to say that this thread makes me smile! And BTW, I haven't bought a book since Sunday, yes, seriously, 2 whole days.

Although I'll probably buy Story Guy...tomorrow maybe, but I'd really like to see if I can make it 3 days!

I think I read that yesterday. I've been collecting that series, so someday I plan to read it.

I did do a quick look at the slush pile, nothing other than what Britomart posted. I'm ill today and stuck on the sofa. Some stomach virus hit me this morning and couldn't keep anything down and now everything tastes like cardboard. So if I seem quiet that is why.

I first came across The Story Guy via one of my GR friends (whose reviews I trust implicitly) and I knew I had to read it. It is a very emotional book (I definitely had sniffle-y moments) but satisfying as well. Yes, there is sad and bittersweet (though not in the way you may be thinking), but it does end on a very deserved sweet sigh.

Thanks for sharing...I'll probably break down and one-click... trying to hold out for now

Yay you!! I said yesterday I was going on a book diet and what did I do within a couple of hours? Yes. Bought three 99-centers. And 3 freebies. I. Need. Help.

I think I am one of the few poeple who did not enjoy Sugar Daddy or Blue-Eyed Devil. I've never read Smooth Talking Stranger. But I'm happy fans of the series will get this long awaited new story.

Sugar Daddy is not really a romance, IMO but I love it for Liberty's journey. I liked Blue-Eyed Devil as well, but my hands down favorite is Smooth Talking Stranger. I've reread it about three times and, with Joe's story coming up, I have an excuse a valid reason to read it again, maybe more than once

Thanks I'm just surfing Netflix. Watched Pocahontas and Pocohontas II. Hadn't seen it in years. Really inaccurate movies but I do really like Pocahontas II.

You've got John Smith who is the Rogue and John Rolfe who is your English Gentleman. Reminds me of a romance novel. Love she gets her HEA because the first one always leaves me in tears.

Yeah, Sugar Daddy really turned me off and although I have Blue-Eyed Devil I just haven't gone any further with that series.

Luckily, I read Smooth Talking Stranger first. If I'd started with Sugar Daddy, I doubt I would have read the others. I think it's time to pull it off the keeper shelf for a reread.
