Me too - from Monday, using up the last of my kobo codes. But I haven't purchased a book in TWO days. ('course, today's not over and I'm getting a tone of ERIQ notifications!) I'm feeling good about myself... for the moment
I don't think I've gone 2 days without buying a book, not in a long, long time...

I really enjoyed this book, I'd probably rate 3.5-4 stars and it just came down in price [even though I got it as a freebie a long time ago.].
$.99 Escorted by Claire Kent
blurb: She hired him to take her virginity...but now she wants even more.

Lori might be a popular romance writer, but she's never been anything but a flop with sex and love in her personal life. Still a virgin at twenty-six and increasingly frustrated by her inexperience, she decides to take matters into her own hands. She hires a talented, sexy male escort to take care of her inconvenient virginity.

She assumes one time with Ander will be enough, but she never dreams how much pleasure he can make her feel. Once isn't nearly enough. Twice isn't enough either. Soon, she becomes one of his regular clients.

Lori knows that nothing would be as foolish as falling in love with her paid escort, but she's never been wise with her heart. And, despite his professionalism, he doesn't seem entirely immune either.

I was all set to not buy any new books for some time, after all my Tier 1 wish list was down to 5 measly books but wouldn't you know it, one of those books is today's Kindle Romance Daily Deal.

Omega by Susannah Sandlin (Penton Vampire Legacy #3) - $1.99

I read the first in this series and thought the romance itself was choppy but the premise and the world building was good enough for me to give this series a bit more of a chance.

And then, just now . . .
I went to Kobo to test to see if my remaining Kobo contest codes were still good before offering them up here. Alas, they've expired but the random book I grabbed to test them happened to be Darkness Before Dawn by Claire Contreras and look it's on sale for $0.99! I just bought book 1 on sale somewhere in the blur of the past Kobo code shopping binge. And wait, there's that 50% Kobo code that I haven't used yet that should be expiring any minute. You can guess the rest.

Well thanks to my own misunderstanding of a June post I read the sample of Chasing Perfect by Susan Mallory [Mistakenly thought the her Fools Gold Series had something vaguely to do with the Movie Fool's Gold] and found it quiet interesting.

Then in looking for a copy at my local library (ebooks) I came across Pitch Black by Susan Crandall ($5.69 at Google Play) and read the sample to that before realizing that it too was a Romantic Suspense (so at least half way in my comfort zone). So I just wanted to say thanks to you bargain hunters and say 'keep em coming' - you're expanding my Horizons
I would highly recommend Karen Rose and J.T. Ellison if you're dipping your toes into the water of Romantic Suspense from the big Thriller pool. Both are heavier with darker suspense plots along with a nice helping of romance on the side.

They did change the title, it was even changed in my Kindle Library before I returned it.
I've read the first 3 and have the next 3 waiting, also from when Amazon had their big unintentional B&N price matching sale.

I also like Erica Spindler, Pamela Camello (she's fairly new), Michelle Gagnon and Laura Caldwell. Oh and Gwen Hunter and Tami Hoag and Alex Kava.

Camello, Hunter and Gagnon are lighter on the romance, Caldwell gives the romance plenty of due but it doesn't drive the story.

It is used to make corrections to the text of a book. I use it mostly for books which were scanned and not checked for OCR errors, like number 1 for letter l, no space between words where there should be, etc. (Harlequin Treasury I am looking at you!)

But I also use it to fix numerous older digital books where the About the Author stuff starts immediately below the last line of the book rather than on a separate page, the chapters are not separated, and situations where a book is just poorly formatted.

Also, as an example in two of Julie James' books to take out the Hyperlinks within the books' text (why Berkley thinks a link to the TMZ website is necessary in the paragrah(s) where the characters are talking about it is beyond me ).

Or to fix simple formatting issues where the section breaks are missing or a paragraph break is erroneously placed mid-sentence and things like that.

It's also very convenient when converting PDFs to remove the header and footer information on each page. Though in my experience I usally convert PDFs to RFT and go in and fix all the paragraphs. The lack of good conversion is the main reason I no longer buy PDF format, but many of my first digital books are in that format. Some I just repurchased, but others are no longer available to buy so I had to convert them.

I second the Tami Hoag reccomendation. Although her latest novels don't really contain any romance, her earlier suspense titles from the 90s do. And I enjoy her Kovac & Liska series though I haven't read the recent novella and novel yet.

Rain Shadow (Dutch Country Brides) by Cheryl St.John
Harlequin Historical 1994

Quote:
Raised by the Lakota Sioux and having traveled with the Wild West Show for many years, Rain Shadow is unprepared for a forced stay at the home of Anton Neubauer while her son recuperates. He is a rock, a man who has lived on and farmed the same several hundred acres since he was young.

Anton needs a mother for his son, but he needs someone domestic and ladylike, not the Smith & Wesson toting female who sets up her teepee in his front yard and whose target practice wakes him at the crack of dawn. But fate, two little boys and two old men conspire to keep them together, and it’s too late to deny their passion once love is part of the equation.

For all those Phy/Changeling fans, Nalini just announced she'll be doing a novella next year in addition to a full length novel. If you're caught up in the series and want to know who the hero of the next book will be, it's on her blog.

LOL...i loved the movies for High Noon and Northern Lights. I have the books, but never thought to read them. I usually like to see how the books and movies differ. I have the JD Robb stuff too...my mother is addicted. NR/JDR cannot come out with more in that series fast enough for her. You should see her. She asks me like every other week if there are any new ones coming. Didnt know the in Death series was considered Romance. i usually ditch the tags column in calibre. I guess I'll have to start looking at them more often.

guess I have lots of reading to do
