No, it is not. There is no documentation on the site saying that my membership level makes me ineligible for these sales. At one time I was able to participate but not now and never an email about the change.

I've spent a lot of money at Audible. Just because I've been a member since 2001 means I'm less of a customer?

And they only gave me one free credit one time and I believed (based on what the rep told me) that it was a system glitch. The one free credit was to make sure I got in on the sale while they fixed the problem.

Wow I totally agree. Look at it this way you are not stuck choosing from a small selection with the extra credit you can get any two books. It's a much better deal.

I'm not trying to get an extra credit. I'm just trying to get the same deal everyone else does. I can't even see the selection everyone else is choosing from. It may have many or none of the audiobooks I'm interested in.

I only got that extra credit ONE time.

The post you posted said they gave you a credit while they are checking out why you are not allowed to buy from the current sale.

I understand you received an email to take advantage of this and it could be disappointed for you to know this. I really sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you, for this I issued 1 more credit to your account so you can purchase of any other audiobook.

I'm confused? With the extra credit and one of your current credits you can choose any two books. It's the same as a Bogo deal but with better selection.

That's on me. The credit had not shown up when I started my rant but it is there now. I should have waited.

Audible is slow adding credits. On my credit day it can take awhile even after it says Happy Credit Day. I once spent a few hours trying to figure out if I was missing two credits. That meant going through past purchases, spreadsheets and membership receipts. Took a few hours only to realize I was right and they hadn't added the two credits yet even though it said it did...right before I was going to contact support the two credits magically appeared.

I would love a buy one get one free sale because Bogo sales are so limited on selections.

The free RH download of The Call of the Wild (see OP) has at least one gap in the text. When splitting the file into chapters, I noticed that there was no indication for Chapter 6, and when I checked against the PG text, I found that after the last line of Chapter 5, the audio jumps to the seventh paragraph of Chapter 6. This gap is at 2:04:28.

I e-mailed RH about it this morning.

I don't know for sure if Audible acted out of greed or simple good business sense, but I can only presume that if customers on the grandfathered plans were what Audible felt they needed to be sustainable and grow, they would not have eliminated the plans in the first place.
