what is "near beer" ? is it anything like "the blue one, near the beer" ? is it "whatever is in the bottle in the immediate proximity of the beer" ?? like, you can't decide, but you don't want beer, so you tell the bartender "give me something that's not beer, but that is near the beer" ?

I think it's a beer flavored substance with no actual alcohol, Z-chan. I've never had any, though.

I'm afraid that I must also confess to liking decaffeinated espresso, as much as that must seem like an oxymoron to most of you.

aaah, that does make a lot more sense than my idea. ok. well since i don't like actual beer, i really would hate having to drink something that had the same taste but won't even make your head spin, so i'll have to agree on that one.

actually, i like tofu too, and i too like decaffeinated espresso, when it is good quality coffee. because i love coffee but if i drink it too late in the day it will keep me up all night, and i have a hard enough time getting to sleep at a reasonable hour as it is. (i know : "shocking !!" is what you're all thinking to yourselves.)

Very nice in laksa, tofu is. Require any meat ingredients, it does not. Oyster mushrooms, a complement they are.

Very appropriate analogy there, VR. I'd have probably gone for an exchange rate of four, or even five, but then I've not seen said toilet.
