Question for you all.

I've scanned through this list but haven't really seen what I'm looking for, so I'll ask.

Take the contest going on right now, where we get the percentage off promo codes. Obviously, there are publishers that don't allow us to use those. I've run my personal well dry in terms of certain series I know will take them ("The Mammoth Book of 'X'" is one of them), and short of simply pulling titles out of my brain and doing a hit or miss, is there a way to search within Kobobooks to find books that will take the promo codes?

I know that people have mentioned publishing houses, but unless I'm missing something, you can't search by houses, only by titles or authors.

Any advice, or has anybody found an efficient way to do this yet?

Maybe use another site?

On the Sony site, you can do a search, and then in the upper left there is a check box for "have a coupon".

Or use overdrive, and on the advanced search page, you can select a publisher to search by.

I wasn't sure if the coupon usage/non-usage was transferrable from one site to the next, but I guess since it's based on publisher, that would make sense.

You can search by publisher on the Kobo website, but you need to edit the search URL.

An easy way is to do any search by author (click on the author's name in any book), then edit the "f=" part of the search URL to search another field. "f=publisher" will search by pubisher.

E.g. to search for books in English published by HarperCollins sorted by price, use a search URL like this: http://www.kobobooks.com/search/sear...sc&g=both&l=en
