These books are not ".99 cents" as claimed; they are in fact 99c. A difference in price of a factor of 100 is pretty significant . |

I was bad... I bought all of the Year's Best SF (1-9, 11) and Year's Best Fantasy (1-5) that were on sale. Looks like most of the newer ones in those series are published by Tor.

We will NOT be discussing how much else I bought (and none of it romance, so I don't have to post it in that thread!!!)

I also noticed that only volumes 1 and 3 of the C. S. Lewis letters were on sale. Volume 2 was $14.44. Mitford13, you've ruined my faith in humanity.

I noticed that in some cases the first volume in a series was the only one on sale (i.e. Acorna), while in other cases, an entire series was on sale (saw a couple of SFF trilogies like that).

With how difficult it is to filter through these, plus the sale is US only which is a hassle, I ended up only buying two ebooks. One by Bartholomew Gill to try (Edgar nominated Death of a Joyce Scholar) and The Dark House by John Sedgwick which sounded interesting.

I also saw several series where only a few were on sale... Where do I sign up for damages?

Yeah, depends on where you buy it from. Kobo doesn't charge sales tax, but Sony and B&N do. Amazon sometimes charges tax on ebooks, but I haven't figured out the rules for when they charge and when they don't. I bought 15 at 99¢ and I debated buying from Sony so I could use a cart and make one purchase, but the tax would have been $1.20 which is enough to buy another book, so I made 15 individual purchases through Kobo...
