Cracking Open the Kindle on CNET
CNet's series "Cracking Open....." has featured the Kindle. In case you haven't seen any of the Cracking Open.... slide shows, they actually do disassemble the item down to it case.

The Kindle has been laid bare.

Based on the statement from the last image, I would think it would be easy for someone to start a Kindle repair business *if* they can get the parts.
