The power button is a soft button so before returning it, you might also want to do a factory restore. Doing so has solved quite a few odd problems where the working code has been corrupted.

Good luck!

Well I've tried the sleep box ticked or not and it still doesn't help.

So next is a reset to defaults.... I was putting that off until the last thing to try (because of the settings I've input) but it looks like it's time to try it.

Will let you know :-)

Just thought I'd post an update - good news :-)

Tried the basic reset via the power button and no joy. Then the reset hole on the bottom - no joy. Now done a full factory reset to defaults (via settings screen) and it's fixed it!!

Interesting that the first thing it did when it started up first time was do a couple of updates (even though these were done when I first got it). I now have more options... maybe the updates didn't work 100% first time.

Also now I have proper sleep or power off modes!!

It's fixed :-)

Thanks for the help.

Steve

The factory reset restores the device to the firmware level it had when it left the factory, so yes, it would have to redo the upgrades.
