No sure didn't. I've never seen it on any Local TV channels growing up. We didn't get cable till I left and met my husband and now we gave cable up in place for our Roku. I've never been much of a TV watcher unless it was cartoons. lol As an adult I may get into one or two shows during a season but that's it. Lately nothing. The only show I watch is Once Upon A Time. Hubby is still on his JAGathon. Just ordered Season Eight. How in the world he can watch up to 8 hours a day of the same show is beyond me.
I think my brain would turn to fluff. I rather read.

Would you believe we have no places to rent anything anymore. There is that Redbox thingy but that's it. I miss the old video rental stores I grew up with. I never thought I see the day they would be no more.

I do see Amazon has it for rent though for $2.99. Now I just have to wait for a couple months till he finishes JAG and talk him into it. He still gives me looks for renting Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2 without his permission. The Roku is on his account not mine.

I picked the Vella Munn book. It's a former Harlequin Intrigue written in the early 80s. Should make an interesting read. I don't think they revise their books do they? I mean then it wouldn't be Retro Romance.

You will be charge tax on certain publishers. We use to call them Agency Pricing books. HarperCollins, Simon and Schuster, Random House, Hachette, Penguin and Macmillan are the ones who charge tax.

No, AFAIK the retro releases aren't altered at all. On some newer stuff they've re-pubbed (not part of retro) they always put a disclaimer such as...

This book has been revised from a previously published edition.

or

This book has been previously published and has been substantially revised and expanded from its original release.

Oh girl, if we counted freebies the list would be as long as my arm! Freebies never count, or wait, have I been fooling myself? Between mine and my Moms libraries I have over 3500 books, and I add probably 20-30ish freebies a week! I'd say for actual spending you did great!

I find Random House charges the higher tax. While the other publishers charge about the same. At least where I live.


Okay I am halfway through the Lori Wilde book and now I am totally hooked on her writing.

I have to get her other series before Jubilee, it's about the neighboring town Twilight, Texas. Luckily the library has all but the first two. So I did the recommendation thing. Well Brooklyn has the first one but seeing it's a Avon title I know for some reason they sometimes show a title they don't have and you are on the hold's list forever before you figure that out. It's $7 or I would buy it so here's hoping they add it soon or I get some money!
