I've read a number of his books. An extremely witty author.

I feel really bad, in part because although I've had the intention for years, I've never read any of the works of my namesake. From everything I've heard, he was quite a funny writer.
Mr. Sharpe, I'm sorry it took this to nudge me to do it, but I just bought your Indecent Exposure. Rest in peace. |

One of my favorite humorous authors. I've read everything he's written.
RIP, Mr. Sharpe. Thanks for the laughs. |

Don't know this author. Still, R.I.P.
I'll add him to my "read at some point" list as he seems to be highly regarded. |

Both two of his best. Another two are the first pair of Wilt novels - "Wilt", and "The Wilt Alternative". The following Wilt based ones are relatively disappointing. His best really use his experiences in South Africa and teaching in a Polytechnic in the UK.... classes of groups like 'Meat One' for a bunch of butchers' apprentices and so forth. edited for ps. just read the Guardian feature on him - I'd forgotten about "Porterhouse Blue"... another excellent one of his, based on (inspired by?) his time at Cambridge University. The one book of his I remember best is "The Throwback," read it in high school many years ago.
