Back home from my flying visit to Redmond. It went well, but it morphed this gig into a bigger job, but same end date. So it's PUSH time, and 60 hour weeks. OTOH, I'm billing by the hour, so...

Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea. I missed not having tea yesterday!

Working on some Farmers Green Pu Erh. Good stuff.

So someone at work has decided to screw with my Kettle. It is used by at least 6 or 7 people in the common kitchen. This morning I found soap in it, a large amount of soap. I washed it out but it probably would have been bad if the water heated up and the soap bubbled out while the kettle was in use. Later I go in and someone has hidden the base. So now the kettle is under my desk, I cannot use it in my office but I can use it in the kitchen. So when I want tea, I have to bring the kettle and my tea pot.

I am a bit miffed. I am guessing it is a practicle joke gone bad but do not f*** with the tea kettle. It is expensive and stupid stunts like the soap one could have caused far more serious eletrical problems. What the hell is wrong with people.

I'm settled down with tea #1 right now. My cell phone (AKA "Mobile") is malfunctioning and I've got to deal with Verizon later this afternoon. I'm trying to put it off.

I VERY much sympathize. How annoying. Is it a rule that every office has to have at least one jerk? It certainly seems it sometimes. What could they possibly think was funny about that?

Ah, well. Peet's Pride of the Port in my cup, but it's just about empty. Hmmm. Must be time for dinner and single malt. Not necessarily in that order, or those units.

The kettle is at my desk. If someone screws with it today I'll bring it home and use teas in the 185 and 175 range.

Working on some Seven Sons Bing Cha Pu Erh right now.

I suppose I could bring in my glass mug and heat the water int he microwave and then put the infuser in if I want to. I need a new battery for my tea thermometer if I have to go the microwave route.

If a word to the wise is sufficient, always bring a cat when you fly internationally....
The way we were treated was unbelievable! Not only upgraded to Business Class, but escorted from the Security Desk by two stewardesses, (stewardi?) were brought into the plane even before they called the First Cass passengers, and doted on the whole way. I had the chicken. Felicity had the fish.
