New DRM Strategy
So here is a new one, I hadn't seen. Amazon currently has a book on sale for $0.00 for kindle, one catch, it doesn't work on Kindle for PC. ( book http://www.amazon.com/Webers-Time-Gr.../dp/B008N0TP3C )

Has nothing to do with DRM. The PC/Mac readers just don't support that format yet (some type of fixed layout format). You could read it on a PC with the Kindle Cloud Reader.

It is likely AZW4 format which is PDF in a mobi wrapper. Read about this in our wiki.
