The early titles in Thomas Pitt series are available from Open Road, so if you buy from Kobo, you can apply a coupon. Or you could try your library.

ETA: I see you're in PA. The Free Library of Philadelphia has a large selection of Anne Perry e-books available.

Some of Anne Perry's books are published by Open Road and are couponable at Kobo. I've also seen them discounted during the occasional Open Road promotions.

PSSST! I don't really feel violated--and I'm probably not really going to read the book (angrily or otherwise). I'm just amused by the level of angst generated by a one-off decision to not simultaneously release one book in every concievable format that every concievable reader might prefer to read it in. I have a blind friend who's super-pissed that there's no braille-Swahili version of Joyland for sale.

But you DO understand that it's not just the decision not to release that people are talking about, right?

It's as if King publicly stated "I don't think blind Bantus can enjoy this as I want them to, so I'm not going to release a braille-Swahili version for a few years."
