Changing original fonts in conversion

I looked but couldn't find this one (has to be common tho)
Original Mobi is bold Italics, I want un-bold no italics. I have converted this trying all I could find but failed. What did I miss?

Where did you get a Mobi that's all bold italics?

What thing you can do is convert to ePub, edit the ePub in Sigil and convert back to Mobi.

Use the filter css settings in the look & feel section of the conversion dialog. Filter out font-weight and font-style

I checked the Font box (there is no Weight). That didn't work. Now I have entered Font-Weight, Font-Style in the filter out box. In the meantime I converted the mobi to trf made the conversion in Word then brought it back into Calibre. After fiddling around with files I finally got to read the book - only to discover I've already read it several years ago.
