We visited the cicadas today. We are trying to go on a hike a week with Lucas. Unfortunately, we forgot bug spray so the hike was cut short. The good news is we found that the state campsites are nicer and more private then the federal parks. And Lucas slept both ways, so two hours.

Early in the morning....7am and already up and moving for the past hour... Last bits to pack before the shipping company arrives. I guess I'll have to dissassemble the whole computer set-up and switch to the laptop too... Last minute copying of files thumb drives for my pocket...

Good morning, everyone. No doubt about it, there's Taylors of Harrogate's "Yorkshire" tea in my cup this morning (Damn right-handed cup just doesn't feel comfortable, but the tea tastes good!)

Sticks can be nice too... Here are a few umbrella sticks for you. The Thais make beautiful hand painted paper umbrellas, every step of the process by hand. Here are some umbrella frames waiting for their paper covers... (They make the paper too... from pounded Mullberry tree bark!) I just liked the patterns that the ribs made as they lined up on the racks...

Bottled water and contemplating whether or not to call in an order for American Chinese something. Broccoli beef sounds good, but so does sweet and sour pork.. maybe, steamed chow mein? Oh what the heck... I'll order all three.

Sorry, but I had to take apart my desktop computer and only have this little laptop screen to work with so I apologize for the slapdash B&W rendering. I don't have this screen color-calibrated, so can't really control what comes out.

Movers came and went. Damn, those guys move fast. Although I had packed up most of the house, there was still a lot of oddly shaped things that they had to deal with, making special boxes for them, as well as taking extra care with a keyboard, a few computer monitors, etc., etc. Still, in and out in less that three hours. Not bad at all! 46 boxes in all. Just a few more than we estimated... I'm pleased. Then the estate agent came over with contracts and deposit, so all the paperwork is moving along quickly. Time for a cup (an uggggly right-handed cup) of Keemun Bud! My wife is drinking Asahi Dry!

OK, I have to ask - "right-handed cup"? Is it the shape or the decoration? While I've occasionally seen cups obviously intended to be held in the right hand by the way the decoration's been applied, I don't think I've ever seen a non-symmetrical cup in shape.

Lovely. Thanks. To me, the black and white aspect gives it the feel of those old Ansel Adams photos. I wonder what it would look like on a large canvas and on a white wall? Some photos or paintings just give me an instant relaxation feel and, for some reason, that photo did once it was in black and white.

Fresh coffee in my cup and thinking about what to eat.
