Everything has come together so perfectly for this move that I have to start believing in 'signs.' We moved from this same condo last time we went to Thailand, but not a single thing happened the way all of this is happening now. We never even had a single person come to look to buy the condo, and had to eventually rent it out. No one came to our moving sale last time, and we had to pay to throw out everything. This time, the apartment is virtually emptied. People keep bringing food, but I really want to eat some of the stuff in the fridge. That's why I froze it in the first place! But who am I to defrost chili con carne, when I can eat Kobe Beef. I have to say, when the fat is melted off over a hot fire, that stuff is Tender... I wouldn't pay for it in a shop at the prices it goes for. As I said, I'd much prefer a good piece of Angus beef cut as a T-bone or Porterhouse. I think that has much more flavor. But for 'tender...' Kobe beef has got 'em beat!
Now a glass of Bombay Sapphire, a last bowl of pop corn (I'll pack the popcorn popper tomorrow) and a movie. Life is good. Stitchawl |

Congratulations on selling the condo. And at the price you expected. I think you're right--the signs are all in alignment for the move. It feels like when we moved to Canada, and everything just came together. We even sold the house without ever putting it on the market. Or paying a realtor!

And now it's time for me to start popping Papaya enzyme tablets from GNC. 3 tabs x 3 a day. If anyone suffers from ears popping when flying (or difficulty equalizing when scuba diving, for some unknown reason, ordinary papaya enzyme (or fresh papaya) take several times a day for 4-5 days before the flight, and during the dive week, and there is absolutely NO trouble with ears! Strange but true! Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 06-01-2013 at 10:36 AM. |

Cold tea in the cup, instant. Looking mainly for something wet.
![]() My nine year old ran too. He did great. I went back after finishing and ran the last 1/4 mile leg with him. He came in around 43 mins. Really proud of him. His first race ever and he really tried hard. Neither of us actually trained for it through... ops. ![]() |

9 years ago, when my son was born I could not walk to my mail box with out getting winded (talking 15-20 feet, tops). I got fed up with being sick and weak, and made it a point to get healthy so that my son could have a father to play with. TODAY I ran my first 5k race since high school, and took second place for my age group, behind the sicko that took 2 second place over all. It CAN be done. W00T! |

![]() in my cup: hot Arabica coffee (thinking about my trip in autumn; I would love to travel in Sudan or if that isn't possible again in Egypt. I just watched Joanna Lumley's Nile on T.V, where she travels the whole of the Nile from Alexandrie in to Sudan-Oeganda-Rwanda. Watching this gives me a severe case of the travel bugs.....but first I have to save up for it, although Egypt isn't expensive as it is a political unstable country....) In the meanwhile: next tuesday I'll be attending a seminar on the restoration of the coffins of the Amun priests, who were made some thousands years ago. http://www.rmo.nl/english |

Mug 'o tea #2.
I realize that we have a "What are you listening to" thread here, but this doesn't really fit. What I'm "listening to" at the moment is the first wave of many millions of 17 year cicadas (Brood II), all hoping to "get lucky" in their allotted two weeks. Right now it's like living on a runway with a business jet idling -- from dawn to dusk. |

![]() I'm standin' here outside your door I hate to wake you up to say goodbye But the dawn is breakin' it's early morn The taxi's waitin' he's blowin' his horn Already I'm so lonesome I could die So kiss me and smile for me Tell me that you'll wait for me Hold me like you'll never let me go Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane Don't know when I'll be back again Oh baby, I hate to go ![]() ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19ToC8pQrCY ) Good morning, everyone! I have not a clue to what I'm drinking right now... I took all the remaining teas and put them into one tin so I could throw away all the empty tins. But I don't mind. They are all good! But... I've already packed my good tea mug. Now I have to use a right-handed one for the next three days.... Some Italian sausage and onions and cheese, rolled up in tortillas for breakfast. Necessity is a Motha... but the fridge is getting empty. Today is the last day I have for filling boxes, then dismantaling my computer system and getting that all packed way. Time to bring out the laptop. The shippers come in tomorrow to take it all away, then Tuesday morning all the people who pre-bought at our moving sale will start carting off furniture... Now that the house is sold I can take down all the pictures and wall decorations too, and get them packed away. What a process this has been... from the nutty running around through the burocracy, the banking, the packing... I guess I've moved 25-30 times in my life, but this one takes the cake. I remember the first 'adult' move after getting out of the service... To California with my girlfriend. We each had one backpack and one cardboard box. Everything fit easily into the trunk of the car, and down the road we went. We took Rt.66 because of the TV show. We didn't even know 'where' we were going, except 'to California.' We eventually saw a sign that said 'Hollywood Freeway' so we took that road until we saw an exit sign that said 'Sunset Strip' and got off there because we knew that name from a TV show too. 45 years ago... Time sure do change. Quote:

[quote} You must only use tablets that are calibrated in ENZYME ACTIVITY UNITS. Papaya tablets at health food stores, basically, can have any amount of enzymes in them, and there is no way to know what you are really getting with these. [/quote] There doesn't seem to be any consensus about HOW MUCH is required. The MD told me just to take 3-4 tablets 3 times a day. And when eating fresh papaya, there is even LESS of an idea about Enzyme Activity Units consumed. But that works just as well for me. I can't imagine that eating 2 papaya a day can do any harm... except to the papaya. Quote:
