Yup, the above average can accumulate them MUCH faster.

Finished reading Queen of the Flowers, the 14th in the excellent Phryne Fisher series by Kerry Greenwood. This book delves into some of the back story of Phryne's adopted daughter Ruth, along side the main mystery, and was another superlative read. I'm having to space these out, there are only four more and I like to keep them as "treats".

If you haven't tried this series, I highly recommend it. Written by a Melbourne native, and set in 1928 Melbourne, these are truly delightful books. (And if you get a chance to see the TV series done by the Australian Broadcasting Company, don't miss them!) The first book in the series is Cocaine Blues, and it's FREE.

Next up, the 25th Anniversary Edition of Man/Kzin Wars. Talk about a change of pace...

Oh, and there is no DRM on any of the Phryne Fisher books.

Seems really good and something I would enjoy reading. Thank you for the recommendation, CRussel!

Next up: Thraxas and the Ice Dragon by Martin Scott. I know I haven't read this before, and I'm looking forward to it. I hope there are more Thraxas novels to come in the future.
An excellent continuation of the Thraxas series, and the intro says he's working on the 10th Thraxas book.

I really enjoyed this one. I shall get the next one as soon as it appears.

Next I'm reading another recently purchase, Split Heirs by Lawrence Watt-Evans and Esther Freisner.

Finally Reading Again ... Again! Yay!

A few days ago I finished The Friday Society, which I enjoyed. It was a fun "light" read. I'm hoping it becomes a series.

I'm now reading Magician: Apprentice (The Riftwar Saga #1), which I am also enjoying. While I'm only about 6 or 7 chapters in, it seems to be Epic Fantasy at its finest.

I've started reading Eyes of Prey. It's the third one in the series. Interesting so far.

I decided to read The Queen's Man by Sharon Kay Penman. This was a nice medieval mystery about Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. Lots of period details. I felt there was too much wandering about waiting for something to happen. The ending was unexpected although the author used my least favorite plot device. Rated C [3 stars].

Next is The Enemy by Charlie Higson. A YA dystopian tale in London where virus turns adults into beserkers and the children try to survive. Sound familiar? Yawn.

Glad to read that you are reading.

Now please stop reading Magician: Apprentice. There is an eBook edition titled Magician that both books in one and has been updated by the author. That is the one you should be reading. I have it in my TBR pile on my 650.

Sounds like the author watched Star Trek. It does sound like a copy of one of the episodes.

Yes, it does. I thought that Star Trek episode was very good.

Plus, it seems it matches every other YA novel being written. The latest fad which I've been sucked into. I've 2 more similarly themed books in my TBR pile.

That's a pity. 10 years after the initial release of "Magician" Feist released a greatly expanded "10th anniversary edition" which has a lot of interesting extra material, and that's the version used in the ebook edition. The ebook is occasionally available in sales at a very low price. It really is a great shame that you're reading such a great book in this way.

Today, I found a typo in Delirium, a book that had been edited, proofread and all the stuff. The author used "then" instead of "than". No big deal, but that mistake and the misuse of "your/you're", "its"/it's" are some of my pet peeves
