WIth a PRS500 you have to use the send to device button not the save to disk button, because the PRS500 doesn't show up as a disk.

Released b15 which has a new "browse books by tags" mode that can be accessed by clicking the button in the lower right corner.

(using b15 Macos 10.5) When converting three books or more at once (bulk) after two. the conversion gets hung up "waiting". Can't delete job; can only close program.

Mitch
Does that happen for any 3 books of just a particular 3. Also when you click the hourglass immediately after starting the jobs, does it show two jobs running at once?

EDIT; Actually never mind, there was a change I left in from my testing. Will be fixed in the next release.

(b16 Mac OSX 10.5) Title for "Publisher") I think, in wrong language.

You mean the publisher title in the publisher column or the publisher in the browse by tags mode?

How do you check for the program which is used for View when it's not LRF format. Could we configure those options in the future like for example you do in Krusader where you pick a utility to handle zip files, rar files, diff, ...

If possible I would like to be able to choose Comix as my cbz & cbr viewer of choice.

The reason why I'm asking is that the View button doesn't work very well for me when I try to look at a cbz or cbr file. I get the following error:

evince: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/gio/modules/libgvfsdbus.so: undefined symbol: dbus_watch_get_unix_fd

Evince opens a cbz or cbr file without a problem when you double click it.

Also, just an idea. Would two extra buttons in meta data editing be possible or desirable? One for next book and one for previous book. So that when you edit 200 comics and need to change metadata for all of them you don't have to click ok, choose the next one, click edit meta data, ... I know bulk editing exists but what about the series number. If you edit series in bulk edit all books are number one in the series.

I would have used edit button for this but for some reason it doesn't work. Nothing happens when I press save. Anyway, just another idea, problem or bug. Not sure which one. When you add a cbz or cbr file no cover is extracted from the file. Would it be possible to just grab the first image in the file since that's the cover in 99% of the time.

Ok, this is the last one I think. Next time I'll take some paper and just write things down while I work. There are two things that could be problematic for some users.

For example when you bulk edit metadata for 200+ (246 in my case) files it takes some time for the process to finish. Also when you download meta data for some books with very generic titles, like The state of the art by Ian Banks Calibre goes blank. There's no screen resfresh and no indication that it's still working and not stuck somewhere. Any chance of some indication like a progress bar or spinning hour glass or something?

It picks whatever is your default for that file extension. You should be able to change the default in your desktop and after a restart calibre should pick up the new default.

Select multiple files and click edit metadata. It will bring up the metadata dialog for each one in sequence.
