Book 1, The Name of the Wind is excellent! The second book a little less so, but still good. But consider yourself warned that book 3 (Day 3) is not out yet with no firm release date announced. It might be a while.

The name of book 3 is The Doors of Stone and it'll be released on May 1, 2014 according to fictfact.com.

I'm reading Carol O'Connell's "The Chalk Girl". Next up is the ARC for her new Mallory book, "It Happens In The Dark", which is set to be released on August 20th.

The Secret in the Old Attic, a Nancy Drew Mystery was, as usual, a nostalgic and fun read for me.

Next will be The Clue in the Crumbling Wall (Nancy Drew #22) by Carolyn Keene (Mildred A Wirt). I might have just read this one a few months ago and if that proves to be true, I'll probably just skip ahead to Nancy Drew #23. Along with Nancy Drew is The Iron Jackal (Tales of the Ketty Jay #3) by Chris Wooding.

It turns out that I had previously read The Clue in the Crumbling Wall back in 2012. So I read it again and it was, as usual, a nostalgic and fun read for me.

The Iron Jackal was a really great read and I'm looking forward to the release of the 4th book in the Tales of the Ketty Jay series The Ace of Skulls which has an expected publication date of September 19th.

The next Nancy Drew book I'll be reading will be The Mystery of the Tolling Bell (#23) by Carolyn Keene (Mildred A Wirt) along with Such Wicked Friends (Sandy Reid Mysteries #3) by Rod Hoisington.

I don't understand what the big deal is. I've read a lot of posts about people saying don't start the series until book 3 is out ( I am by no means referring to you but people in other forums who keep whining what's taking the author so long). Why? It's a series, do they expect the books to just get released all at the same time, of course they'd have to wait for the next books, wait impatiently that is.

I do believe that's the one!! Thanks! I'd like to re-read that. I didn't realize it was a series at the time.

I've just started Le secret de Crickley Hall/The Secret Of Crickley Hall (in French). I'm already hooked by the first pages and I have a feeling that I'll really like it

I finished Le secret de Crickley Hall yesterday. It was nice to have some quality material and I liked it so much that I gave it 5/5.
Now, I'm going for something different and less creepy with Indignez-vous ! And also Delirium because the former is too serious for bedtime reading.

Just finished Ethan Rutherford's collection of short-stories entitled: The Peripatetic Coffin and Other Stories. At times hilariously demented; at others, hauntingly poignant (and any other cliched descriptors you can think of in between). This collection of unconnected stories manages to build surreptitiously in power to a thundering conclusion more effectively than many novels do. Rutherford has some serious chops. I'll be on constant watch for new output from him from now on--as should all fans of short-form storytelling.

This looks interesting, and your write up of the book makes it sound even more so. I just downloaded a sample to my Paperwhite, but when and if I shall ever get around to it is known only to the Fates.
