Have you tried HABO at the Smart Bitches site? The AAR message board also has a lot of What is this book? type of threads.

Even though I swore I wouldn't, I have a bunch of digital books that I also own and plan to keep in print. I justify it because there's a reason the books are on my "keeper" shelf to begin with

I frequent both places but haven't submitted anything about the two lost books. Each weekend I go looking for a few hours.

Yes that's my reasoning too for keep both. My Keeper shelf is named just for that. I should say I store my books laying down horizontally stack on each other. So that shelf has quite a few on it. It keeps the spines in good shape. Yes I am one of those who never creases her book's spine. Nothing annoys me more then finding a book like that!

Well that leaves me out from donating to you, My paperbacks are in various states of looks like new to well read city. I got alot of my books at garage sales, Goodwill, or my friends would give me bags of books. I also would read the heck out of them.

Then I moved to Florida. OMG, I would never leave home without a book with me and kept a small bag in my car in case I finished the book I brought and needed another. I stopped that real quick. The heat down here would make the glue hot enough to seperate the cover from the book and even make some pages fall out. (Rubber Cement was my freind)

I love my nook......

Just finished correcting all the metadata in Calibre for all the books I bought this week. I knew I'd bought a lot, but

Even with the Kobo coupons I spent way too much money. I bought 53 books this week so I'm not listing all the titles.

Blue2u, I have a strong feeling you'll enjoy this one

Wallbanger only wishes it was as well-written as Tangled (IMO, of course )
Ack, you definitely moved this up on my wishlist!

Quote:
[username no longer in service]: Is it bad that you've been on such a spree that you actually can't find anything you want anymore? Or, at least nothing that is couponable or under your the amount you're willing to spend even with a coupon? I had 2 45% codes and had trouble finding something to use them on Really. I searched my calibre for unfinished series and everything was still too much or not couponable. It's so sad... but never fear, I finally FORCED myself to spend those codes

I'm kind of afraid to look at my amazon recommends or the under $1 section at ereader... these are the impulse buys and knowing how many 10 and 20% codes I still have could put me and my cc over the edge
I was trying to rein in my buying, I did amazingly well [for me!]. The problem is I see something that I think I might like and just add it to my wishlist. So when a sale comes on I then go read reviews, etc to see if it's something I really want to read/buy. I went through basically 50 or more books yesterday and it was hard narrowing it down to which few I wanted to buy! But definitely the few that dropped at Amazon made my life a lot easier.

Had to chuckle at the 'FORCED myself to spend those codes', it's a burden isn't it? I had 3 books that I was on the fence about, but as all 3 were by new authors I decided they'll likely come on sale so just left them on my wishlist. Yes, the $1 section is what tempts me the most, but to curb my spending 1 of my restrictions is that it has to be rated over 4 at goodreads and I take it from there. Of course there's always exceptions to the rule, but this has helped me weed out quite a few impulse buys.

I have plenty of books in the conditions you mention. I was talking about the ones I buy new or in like new Condition. If I am going to pay $5 for a book It better be in Very good or better condition. Stuff I find locally are never in that great of condition.

The one Judith E French book I got this week in the mail hubby said "What's wrong with it? It has tan and brown speckle pages. I told him nothing is wrong with it. The book was written in 1986. This is great condition for a book that old. I'm still on the hunt for Windsong when I get more money. June first can't come fast enough.

Oh you're such an enabler!

Only added two more to my purchase list though, I consider that a great feat of willpower. Ha.

That was me everything I wanted is at Amazon only. So I had to go digging for stuff to get at Kobo but I found some pretty good backlist stories and discovered a new author.

What $1 section? I'll probably be sorry I asked.
