"A reader e-books next generation is not to exclude any who révolutionnerait the middle of the ebook."

Reminds me of a Google translation of a French review of a musician (Tom Verlaine) who had performed a live soundtrack to a silent film. The google translation said he made music for "dumb movies".

I said this in the other thread but I'll say it again

It would be a kick in the pants to every new EU owner for Sony to release a new reader so close to the UK launch.

Plus I'd get gadgetitis and would probably HAVE to get it and i already spent my yearly online purchases quota

Is it just me--or is that 'book' she is holding in the picture larger than a regular PRS?

I believe if they do introduce a new model this close to me purchasing not one but two 505's You will hear the scream from where ever you are. It never fails if I buy something The new model will come out a day after my return policy ends.

I on the other hand will be happy if they introduce a new model! I had my PRS-505 for 10 months now (bought on Dec 4th) and I'm addicted to my reader. I wanted a 2nd one just in case something happen to this one (I've dropped it a couple of time; just dropped it again 2 hours ago on a concrete floor while I was walking and it's still intact). I did not want 2 PRS-505 readers, so I was contemplating buying a Kindle in December. Now, I hope I can just get another Sony Reader!

Why? New model cars, computers, TV's, etc are released yearly. Your current model won't stop working. You apparently bought it because you liked its features for the price.

Bob,
No I do realize that things will always keep changing and new Models will keep coming out. True the 505 does do everything that I want it to do. However for me my only issue would be the timing of it that is all. It seems as soon as I make a purchase the new one comes out. That is all.

It was somewhat expected that Sony would bring out a new model this fall.. especially considering history. And there have been rumors of a wireless model for a while now. If you haven't yet bought, I'd just wait on it. I bought mine in June or so and am really happy with it, but of course will have to consider upgrading depending on what the new model is like.

It would be a VERY odd decision to introduce a new model just as they are rolling out the "current" model across Europe.
