How i can contact the publisher?

Hi guys, i'd like to publish my e-book......

I am a noob here. I tried lulu and smashwords. So far no sell.

I think I would aim for paperback market too. I believe my e-book is awesome. It's a combination of Atlas Shrugged, Devil's Dictionary, and a little 50 Shades of Grey. I am just not an expert at self promoting yet.

I am thinking of submitting to Random House publishing because they are the biggest. How to exactly do that?

Is it okay to give free copies if I want to get a publisher latter? I can give the first series of the trilogies.

You need to work on your writing. If your post is example, your book is not awesome.

You can find publishing guidelines for submittals in the Writer's Digest. Get a copy at the library.

You spelt Cthulhu wrong, and there are two more mistakes in your first sentence. That might be what puts people off buying it, assuming they are attracted by the cover image.

Publishing corporations won't be interested until you sell a lot of copies, and they won't look at anything else unless it comes from an agent. If you sent it to agents they would skim-read the first paragraph then decide if they were interested or not.

I agree with Susan and Mr. Ploppy that you're likely to need stronger literary skills if you want to snare the attention of a major publisher.

Most large publishers, Random House included, do not accept unsolicited novel manuscripts. You will need to either acquire a literary agent or snare the interest of a Random House editor in order to get your manuscript considered. (Victoria Strauss has some excellent advice on The Safest Way to Search for an Agent.)

The good news is that writing, like any other skill, can be learned and perfected through diligent effort. Most authors I know spent about ten years polishing their craft before selling their first novel. I'd encourage anyone interested in traditional publishing to seek out an online critique group and browse through the useful writing posts at RWA, SFWA.org and elsewhere.

Avoid the big 5's self publishing arms - they're all powered by Author Solutions, a notorious scam house.

There's some useful groups on Facebook too, but that advice would be just as valid for anyone thinking of self publishing.

Unless you are doing it deliberately for a particular effect, you should certainly make sure that your English is correct.

Self-publishing is easy. Getting a publisher to publish your book and get it into book stores is very, very hard.

You will also want to use a more professional user name than pornluver for emails and such. If you contact a publisher via email and your return addy is pornluver@xxx.com, net or org or whatever they will be less likely to take you seriously.
